Top 15 My Chemical Romance/Mikey Way Bass Lines ft.

Video for the Top 15 Mikey Way/MCR bass riffs with Ciaran Ward. Since my first top 10 MCR video did so well I decided to redo it but with official backing tracks and a good friend of mine. I also felt like I missed a few good bass riffs in this first video so I decided to extend this one to 15 songs. Big thank to Ciaran for collabing with me for two video and putting together the Green Day Top15 video. I already know every MCR song but I was not ready to tackle the Green Day discography lol. Thank you! My clean tone is the Tech 21 Bass Driver and my overdriven tone is the Way Huge Green Rhino. I also used the POG2 at the very end of The Sharpest Lives.

has it been set up properly? you might need to change the action to raise the strings!

Basically adding to what seadiside said most likely your bass needs to be set up. A little bit of fret buzz is okay, but if there's too much you're going to need to raise the action of the bass by adjust the truss rod and/or raising the saddles of the bridge. Hope this helps!

Thanks for watching! Are you referring to Ciaran's bass for The Only Hope? That bass is actually a Gibson Ripper, they're pretty hard to come by now. Hope Epiphone does a reissue for it one of these days.

I was drawn to that model because Johnny Christ from A7X used to play Ernie Ball Stingrays on stage back in the 2000s (no idea if he still does) and I always thought they looked cool. Now I just need to stop procrastinating and load up a bass amp sim (in the absence of a real bass amp), then actually learn something other than the intro to Give 'Em Hell Kid and the opening solo to Anesthesia by Metallica 😅
