Do you feel that a dna dog test could accurately identify the elements of a hybrid cross of these for one that seems to be related but has modified features and has been harder to identify. Mine is toward the slim side with springier hind legs, black and white format and black predominate and faster than a speeding bullet, happy easy going but high energy sort.

15 lookalikes, and you didn't include the basis for the shi-tzu, lasaopso. They were both bred out of the Tibetan Spaniel. Tibbies are an ancient breed. The original lion dogs. They're great companions, watchdogs, and make great service dogs. I've had 2 tibbies so far. Both have been medical service dogs. Maugui was my first, and Buddha is my current bestie. It's really a shame they don't get the recognition they deserve.
