I swear, Matt writes the sexiest basslines in the world when he's in the mood. Chris plays them more flawlessly than anybody (and writes divine ones too), but the most highly regarded ones tend to be Matt's.

City of Delusion is one of my absolute favourites. So utterly funky, and great fun to play with a pedal. Tried to get my bandmates to play it for a gig at school years ago (with trumpets and everything) but it was just too niche. Excellent #1 too.

Somehow i prefer this one, because of the diversity of your choices. You included all time classics (muscle, futurism), underrated bass lines especially from the Resistance and some of them from underrated songs (ashamed and eternally missed are two of my fav bass lines!) Good job!!

Absolutely - I learned it before it was even out (from a leak) so I just did it the quickest way I could think of at the time and then stuck with it haha

For fury, are you using a pitch shifter or did you just tune your bass super low? I find a pitch shifter much easier to work with, though it can make the tone a bit muddy if you use lowmid fuzz
