If you notice that Steelers Lions game comes up a lot, you can blame Phil Luckett who is one of the worst refs off all time. In fact, next week he would make a call so bad it cost the Seattle Seahawks their chance at the playoffs and forced the NFL to introduce instant replay the next season. His resume also includes the Music City Miracle and the Fail Mary. He practically founded Ref Ball.

They do lions and cowboys are thanksgiving teams I’m not sure why the lions started playing thanksgiving but it was in the 60s

@@carliedaniel7667 No, the Lions started playing on Thanksgiving in 1934. For many years, the traditional opponent was the Packers. The Cowboys started in the 1960s, because the AFL was also playing on Thanksgiving. In 1968, there were four games on Thanksgiving, 2 AFL and 2 NFL.

Some other Thanksgiving fails not mentioned in the video that deserve scrutiny for how bad they were: - In a 1985 game against the Lions, the Jets, down 24-10 in the 4th quarter, decided to try a field goal on 4th and short from 27 yards out. As if that wasn't bad enough, back in 1985, the 2-point conversion did not exist yet, so either way, the Jets still needed 2 touchdowns to win. Unsurprisingly, the Jets lost - In a 1992 game against the Cowboys, Giants WR Stephen Baker dropped a wide-open TD pass. Went right through his hands. Baker never caught another pass in the NFL again, ending his career on a whimper - In a 1980 game against the Cowboys, the Seahawks lost 51-7. The game featured one of the funniest plays I've ever seen, where Jim Zorn got called for intentional grounding on a trick play gone horribly wrong - In a 1991 game against the Cowboys, Steelers center Dermontti Dawson, a Hall of Famer, served as the long snapper. He botched not one, not two, but three snaps. You don't see long snappers messing up three times in a season. He messed up three times in one game - In a 2002 game against the Cowboys, Washington QB Danny Wuerffel called a timeout on 3rd and 12 to avoid a delay of game penalty. On its own, that's not bad. The problem? Washington was already on its own half yard line, so a delay of game would not have made any difference. The very next play, Wuerffel threw a pick-six, and Washington lost the game

Yeah since they'd played in nearly every Thanksgiving day game in the NFL since 1934 the first year in franchise history were the Portsmouth Spartans of Portsmouth Ohio relocated and soon after rebranded as the Detroit Lions since in 1934 the Lions attendance was terrible compared to the rest of the league the owner of the lions at the time successfully negotiated a deal with the NFL to play on Thanksgiving as a tactic to successfully bring fans into the games it worked and has been tradition since

All others are considered to be _tackles for a loss._ Punters are such specialists that they are generally considered hapless except for kicking, so tackling one is not exactly a challenge worthy of its own term. "Ouch!" or "Aw, fπck!" or "Hell yeah!" generally suffices, depending if it's your punter or theirs that is mauled. I hope that helps.🍻
