He doesn’t pick, fret, or bend hard enough to cause any of that wear. It’s all dirt from his dirty hands that has never been cleaned. I own a charvel with the same neck and when it’s actually worn from use you’ll see mild to moderate darkening of the wood where it’s played most. Look at eddie Van Halen’s Frankenstrat. It’s not nearly as disgusting as this fretboard and has thousands of times more use. This kid actually thinks he’s playing something reliced because he comes home from his mechanic job with greasy fingers and never wipes his fretboard off. With how daintily he plays that guitar would still look brand new after 10 years of practicing 8 hours a day.

Register at the link below to be part of the Fender Play program! prf.hn/click/camref:1100l4nE7 Well it’s been exactly 365 days since I uploaded this video and I never would have thought it would have gotten nearly 3 Million views in 1 year 😱😨 I know some riffs in this video are pretty messy (before I made this video i only had around 100 subs), my playing standards were a lot lower assuming it wouldn’t even get many views…. 😅😓 And yes, I am well aware the fretboard was pretty dirty in this video (still getting people saying "you should clean your fretboard bro). Reason being, I actually liked the look of a dirty maple fretboard, so I wanted it to look that way for the video. Cleary this is very subjective but I feel it gets shown better or worse depending on the camera angle. Before you comment saying “Fuck dude!!! That fretboard is narly!!!” “OMG please clean that fretboard!!!!” It has been cleaned multiple times since the video as you can see in my other videos. There is even a video I made comparing the tone of a dirty fretboard and a clean fretboard with pretty surprising results 😫😒😠. Also for people saying, “Where is Stairway to Heaven!!!???? 😱😱😱” “How can Hotel California not be on here??!!!!! 😠😠😠 My friends please…. They are both ACOUSTIC, not electric guitar played clean, as the video implies. I have a list for a Top 20 Acoustic video which I will be making in the near future but for now I’m working on some other ideas. But anyway thanks for love (…or hate). -Alex

100 000 Views…. When I made this video back in March, I never thought it would have gotten this amount of views ever. Definitely not in just over 2 months. If I did I would have brushed up on the sloppiness of Miserlou (#10) and Is This Love (#8). A lot of people are commenting saying wheres this riff? Wheres that riff? As I stated at the end of the video, and the description, this is just my personal Top 20. I know there’s are a lot more than 20 great clean riffs. As for Stairway and Hotel California, please be aware they are both ACOUSTIC… Not electric clean riffs. If you still have any ideas or think I missed some out, comment and let me know for a possible vol. 2 ;) I plan to do a few more of these countdown style videos (currently working on another now) so let me know what type you want to see. Anyway thanks for watching, liking and subscribing it means a lot !! ….As for the dirty fretboard, don’t worry it was cleaned months ago ;)

+CommonConnor first maple fretboard don't need oil like rosewood does, second the dark grey spots you see it's only the dust you have on your finger when you play, third always clean your freatboard it's better foor wood , if you don't , more on rosewood, dirtiness will be more difficult to be removed every time, don't take everything your teacher told you as law, please clean your fretboard.

All the comments about the worn fretboard are from people who have spotless fretboards because they play smoke on the water once a month for ten minutes and think they’re guitarists
@jefferygowenlock53526 ай бұрын
That’s not worn as much as it is dirty. I clean all my guitars every 2 months or so, adjust the relief, condition the wood and intonate it bcuz if you don’t, you literally destroy your guitar, at easy for me. I live in Arizona, most guitars aren’t manufactured here so once they get shipped out and spend a few seasons up here, they get super fkd up. To me that looks dirty, it needs some oil dude.

+PixelzGaming clean means no distorsion... u can play clean even with reverb, flanger, wah wah...
@Crod_8 жыл бұрын
guitarist6494 Wow, yet another video maker who can't take criticism. I never stated the video was bad, just some of the stuff didn't sound right because of how empty it was. Some of the songs do actually have the reverb effect on them you know.
@Crod_8 жыл бұрын
***** None of it actually. I understand it's called 'Clean Riffs' doesn't mean he shouldn't add some much needed reverb. Jesus, it's like people can't take an opinion that isn't the same as theirs.

tbh tcm is far more complex and melodic than most of the riffs in the video. but as usual the smiths are ignored so we can put another shitty metal or pop punk band in the list. you could of also put what difference does it make or hand in glove on the list but oh no lets make sure whitesnake gets on the list.
