Zidane was obviously given a straight red card and sent off of the pitch immediately. To make things even worse for Zidane and France🇫🇷, he definitely could've helped during penalty kicks but Marco Materazzi was available and scored on the game winning penalty kick to win the 2006 World Cup⚽🏟️🏆 for Italy🇮🇹. The next day, one newspaper showed Zidane walking off the pitch in shame and the headline above it was "Thanks butthead!"... and yes, I still have that cover from either "The New York Post" or the "Daily News" hahaha😊😅😂
