No it’s great racing game because since 2008 need for speed series is starting to get stale until shift went for simulation in 2009 and hot pursuit went back to basic and graphics still hold up today

Shift. also terrible but not from black box. then Nitro (we dont talk about Nitro) then World (was great but a grindfest) then we have Hot pursuit. now, imagine peoples experience getting an nfs game only to find that it has no customisation at all. thats not an nsf game. plus the races were so dull. just long stretches of roads with some turns here and there. it really wanst very engaging. it had stupid power ups too which can fuck off now NFS HP was from 2010. NFS 2015 was, obviously, from 2015. between HP and 2015, there was only 1 good nfs game. made by black box. their last game actually. The Run. now, The Run also didnt have proper customisation, but they at least gave you the option to give your car a bodykit. nice yeah? the races were fun because of the different locations. the story was good too, was actually quite cool to have an actual story for once :V. it had good physics and guess what? no dumb power ups. its basically everything HP was, without the shit, and a lot more good stuff on top. so, if youre gonna praise NFSHP, you must conceed that The Run is just flat out better and should be on the list rather than HP Having said that, i would put Carbon on the list. its the pinnacle of the ps2 NFS games where they were at their peak. i personally think The Run is the best as it offered a unique experience that i thought was genuinely good. i cant say i thought the same of HP and let me remind you again. at their core, HP and The Run are kinda similar. its just that The Run isnt fucking dull and stupid

F-Zero GX to this day is my favourite game of all time period. No other racing game since has come close to recapturing it’s sense of speed and performance. The machines reach speeds of up to 3000kmh with 30 in a race at once through sprawling futuristic cities and lush rainforests and stays at a solid 60fps AT ALL TIMES. I don’t know what wizardry Amusement vision used to develop F-Zero GX but it truly is a masterpiece of game design

TDU2 isnt a great game, it suffered from bugs and physics/handling issues at launch, which caused the huge difficulty spike in the later license test with the Viper. (I have PTSD just thinking about it.)

COnsidering supposedly this is a RACING list...yeah...Mario Kart is a pretty mediocre racing game...hell the mechanics in it are against actual racing, it's intended to keep you in a pack and fire at each other. Basically according to the list the best racing game is a game where racing doesn't matter much as the game will always keep you tight with the others. It might be the most FUN racing game, but not the best racer. See if we narrow it to cart racing, then there's an argument for it(even if I would still disagree then).

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 was like a template for most of the serious rally games after it. From the tuning options, great list of modern and classic cars, realistic graphics, car damage and gameplay. Arcade and rally modes very well structured and balanced oponents. Large selection of rally locations and stages (it probably was the racing game with the largest track selection on its release). Variable weather on all tracks. Large list of unlockables and cheats to explore.

I thought that Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed was going to be higher lol. Personally its one of the best racing games based on mascots and characters from a company. Seriously not even Nintendo could match such a wacky and fun roster. However, I always wanted to see all the characters from both Sega All Stars Racing together plus a lot of more Sega characters that weren't included in the series (Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star, Yakuza, Ristar, Vectorman, Panzer Dragoon, Space Harrier, Bayonetta, etc).

Agreed, MW 2005 and U2 were much better. GT2 is massively better than 1 on every way. It seems like they wanted as many Mario Cart clones as possible as well as Mario Cart, which is an indication they've got no idea what makes a good racing game, having blatantly obvious cheating AI doesn't make a good game, even if you put Nintardos saviour in it.
