I remember wathcing Maruyama Lima fight and really couldn't believe what I see... The level of control on the biggest occasion, world championships and the way he controls him all the way up and down is stunning, almost get the feel Lima is some low level amateur, that's how good Maruyama technique is.

Khyar at 4.45 should be hansoku make for head diving. Your own head should never touch the ground during ura nage and definitely not before your opponent, quite dangerous...

"Number 1... OF COURSE IT'S MARUYAMA!!" LOL, yes! Anyway, look back in time at Abe vs. Zantaraia, how he changed the control of the grips and how he lowered his hips to prevent Zantaraia from spinning out of the morote-seoi mid-air. Their level of control is incredible.

@@JudoHighlights2015 it’s boring, not very dynamic, isn’t visually appealing, and is literally the only Judo throw name that non-judokas know. If you watch any mma, the announcer calls any throw that even looks mildly like a judo or sambo throw an uchimata.

@@Glogalog I think people just got with an English name if there is one, trip, hip throw, but Uchi mata doesn’t really fit into either of those categories but it’s pretty common to see. Completely disagree with you though. It’s called the throw of kings for a reason.
