Keep in mind Ichigo was at a very low amount of energy when his Hollow was thrashing Ulquiorra. His Bankai's outfit is a direct representation of his weariness. Imagine VL Ichigo at full power

For those unfamiliar with Hunter x Hunter, Gon's transformation is sorta like Ichigo's Final Getsuga Tensho, or Joan d'Arc's Crimson maiden Noble Phantasm. The Nen power-system allows you to make your abilities stronger by setting limits or tradeoffs. In this instance, Gon traded his entire future, life, experience, growth, everything, in exchange for gaining "all the power he'll ever have". Once he was done with Neferpitou his body reverted back, he fell into a coma and started decaying. Life support only slowed it down marginally and if another nen user tried to cure his condition they'd die instantly just for trying. In the end it took the wish granting "thing" inside Killua's little sister to save him.

I had to be Goku's transformation. Definitely iconic and set the stage for a lot of the other transformations that happened in anime. I just rewatched most of GBZ and it still holds up today.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ichigo's Vasto Lorde form, but it was never the best to me. To me, Mugetsu was his best form, not only in appearance, but in purpose. He sacrificed all of his power that he had access to to try to stop Aizen. For me, between its appearance and purpose, it came to be my favorite form of his.

Especially considering that that slash momentarily weakened a being far stronger than anything Vasto Lorde fought. Unless you're going to try to argue that Ulquiorra was as strong as Aizen, which we both know isn't the case.

Im still partial to Yusuke's demon form TBH. The Arc as a whole wasn't that great, but the ending where he literally blew all of the demon energy out of his body was awesome.

The three kings arc wasn't that great, that's the one where Yusuke turns into a demon. Your'e talking about chapter black where he fights the former detective and they go full saint seiya with that armor. Both memorable for different reasons, but coming after arguably the greatest Tournament in Anime history. They had a lot to live up to and unfortunately missed the marks, but it's only my opinion. When I say, "not that good." It's in reference to previous story points. Anything after the Dark Tournament in Yuyu Hakusho pales in comparison. @@cincyryda

The tournament was all action which was good but chapter black gave the story a great approach. The last arc showed Yusuke just becoming a man. Great fights but it was short

My favorite transformation has to be from Takumi during the battle against the King in Akame Ga Kill. The way you hear his fallen friend cheer him on, telling him to get up and to yell out the name of his weapon with all his heart, the echo and overlapping yells of both of them. It is by far the best transformation I've seen. To me nothing is better then when he picked himself up and yelled out for one last time "Incurshio!"

@@sharebear421 Your comment doesn't make any sense as a lot of free lancers have worked on anime with spectacular animation like in JJK, Gear 5 vs Kaido, Zoro vs King, Black Clover Movie, Mushoku Tensei, Bleach TYBW, AOT etc. The reason why the anime for Black Clover would look mediocre to you is because they were short on staff, resource's, time and overall a very shitty schedule for the team that worked on Black Clover. However, you give them as much time as possible along with a good schedule you get an amazing product like the Black Clover Movie.

@@idrisnaama693 no shit most anime use freelancers but they usually only work on certain episodes and aren’t filled to the brim with them the black clover movie was delayed half a dozen times and had a movie budget lol any studio given that amount of time and budget and bigger staff will put out higher quality content, plenty have done better with less time and money and it’s not like they were the only long running anime

After Ichigo's transformation being so "low" I was like: "Nah, not fair" but going one I was more like: "oh right there this one, oh yeah this other one, oh yeah I forgot about this" I think is fair, I wouldn't put Luffy this high even now but I'd say overall this is a good one, also explaining the motivations behind them. Seeing Gear 5 in the manga for the first time was amazing but I'm not gonna lie, when I saw it fully animated in all of its "Toon World" glory I'll b honest when I say I teared up. It's cause I knew that "One Piece" and really, manga n anime as a whole was NEVER EVER gonna b the same, because everyone working in the industry knew that Oda had just raised the bar. Animators n mangikas around the world realized that, "One Piece" after over two decades was better then a lot of newer IPs and even established IP was being examined for their Gear 5 moment. To me Gear 5 is tied with the first Super Saiyan transformation, because just like that moment, NOTHING was gonna b the same again

Rock Lee using the 8 Gates transformation was kind of overshadowed by that moment he took the weights off though. Like the 8 Gates transformation was awesome, but it didn't go anywhere near as hard as him dropping the weights as people laughed at him.

Watching Dragon Ball Z in the 90s and watching Goku transform into a super saiyan is something I can't even adequately describe. I could understand how to younger viewers it might seem less impressive by comparison to more modern examples, but what you have to understand is that without Goku going super saiyan, none of these other transformations even happen. Nearly all of these are inspired at least in part due to Dragon Ball Z and we all owe Akira Toriyama a debt of gratitude for have such an enormous positive influence on the world of manga and anime as we know it today.

I’m surprised that Goku’s mastered ultra instinct hasn’t got in the list. It was so incredibly spectacular, going from being powerless against Jiren, then struggling to control the ultra instinct, then getting nearly defeat to only then doing the final deep breath to master it. Was so cool. 😊

Dragonball is one, if not the best transformation ever in my childhood. Growing up as a kid twas the only anime I have ever followed it's series and even now goku is still the same and I'm in my early 30's 😂😂 such a long journey it has been that's why it remains top 1 transformation for me in anime history.

in my opinion the Ichigos transformation was the best one i have ever seen. Design, style, the way he humilated Ulquiorra - everything was perfect. It does give me chills downspine even after years. Love to ewatch this from time to time. Also the Final Getsuga Tenshou form also was on the point. The second one is Denji became the REAL Chainsaw Man. It was just wow. Usually after a cool showing up other transformations doesnt fulfill your primal wish of satisfaction. Other MC quite often had hard times even after their transformations but Ichigo and ChainsawMan showed to their enemies what the real overwhelming power does mean. Love that

some before i start goku- obvious first time seeing that as a kid :O holy crap it was good. gohan is a very close 2nd tho or future trunks. asta- going devil mode sent chills up my spine the immense power creep he got. amazing. naruto- seeing naruto bring out tails mode anytime is amazing to see and u always wonder whats next. ichigo-bankai first again amazing and i mean when he gets the thin sword. and last its digimon. yes i think it counts. agumon first going greymon always my childhood classic.

Kanekis transformations are the best and the most ethereal and aestheticly pleasing so his powers compared to the the others Are so poëtic reminds me of everything beautiful but also dissmal and malancholy with some colorful aspects so by far the prettiest and scariest

Before i watched this I was expecting ssj would be no 1 . Super saiyan is the most beautiful and legendary transformation . Simple transformation but the most legendary transformation. Nothing crazy but still blows you away. Characters even gets more handsome and badass when they transform 😂

Debut of DNA Digivolution (we had no idea a mega-level could digivolve one more time). 2. First time Tai and Matt digitize themselves into the Internet to be with their defeated digimon. 3. We see Omnimon come out of a white digi-egg made by the hopes and wishes of all the people watching on the internet . 4. Power jump is the largest we have seen so far, from the 2 mega-levels getting ass-kicked by ONE Diaboromon, to Omnimon slaying "well over a million" in a less than 2-minute deadline!

For bleach fans yall know there's a regular cero, a grand rey cero, and, the black cero only Espada rank 4 to 0 can discharge. Ichigos vasto lorde uses a normal cero and was more powerful than the black cero, stong enough to, in the anime, destroy the gates of hell. Imagine if Ichigo learned to use a black cero, mixed with his sword attack getsuga.
