Has pal world gotten better with a controller? Because when I first played it, the controller was completely unusable for navigating the menus. I could not select an area on the map without using a mouse.

Last Epoch crashed and froze on medium settings. Set it to low and it became playable.

​@lilrockstar77 I don't care about graphics but in a game like Helldivers 2 where vision and awareness matters, sometimes you need consistent framerates and good graphics (at least not blurry and you can see the enemies clearly) for it to be playable, especially during hectic fights.

I never cared for RNG-based Roguelikes. The "Survivors" genre has never been good. IDK what that exact genre is called, but I've played them on mobile long b4 Vampire Survivors was a thing It is a very brain-dead genre. Mindlessness. Extremely grindy and heavily reliant on Luck. But it makes it more convenient for the unintelligent masses. The normie masses tend to have rly bad taste. Especially with Fortnite It is very annoying seeing these "Survivor" roguelikes popping up errywhere. I'd rather have skill-based roguelikes again like HADES and Dead Cells

7:34 - Elden Ring dropping down doesn’t surprise. It is one of the few games on Deck that works perfectly and then just refuses to launch. No matter what Proton version, CryoUtilities on or off, launching with the Deck in offline mode etc Having to reimage for the sake of one game gets tiresome.

30 fps is nothing bad, plus adding the fact that you can play it from literally anywhere steamdeck is the best comfort console

I played DS on Switch despite having it also on PC. Its the perfect genre to treat like a book: pick it Up for half an hour or so and lay it back afterwards while comfortably sitting on the couch. Graphics are good enough, at least for us old folks who are used to far worse ;)

30fps is a good frame rate. It's not laggy at all. Nobody complains about movie frame rates smh 60fps is pure luxury. It's great when you can handle it tho. It's just more visually appealing Even tho I can easily handle Persona and Octopath at 60 or 90fps at max settings, I cap them at 30fps anyways. I prefer battery, more playtime I'll play any game at 30fps if it means making the game look good. I prefer Quality over Quantity. In games like Elden Ring, pushing for more than 30fps on a handheld is just pure greed. I think immersion and visual quality is infinitely more important. Play the game like a movie There are some genres that shouldn't be played under 60fps tho. Fast paced games, competitive games, and 2D/side scrollers

@@aliffhaziq6956solid 40-60 frames / second is a solid lie. It have around 10-28fps. I was playing on lcd version paladin 100. And I needed to switch to gfn to play this game at all. And this is the reality the truest performance feedback. Early game it is true 40 fps is reachable but late game you will find out. When the refund period is already over.

There aren't many games here that are pushing the capabilities of the device, are there. I mean. Lots of these wouldn't look out of place on a mobile phone. That's not why I brought my steamdeck. Then again. Most games I would expect to run on it generally crash. Could be why. Extremely disappointed with my purchase and steam support totally sucks a fat one. If you're considering a handheld that claims to have the graphical prowess of a mid range PC look elsewhere, folks.
