@@stitch626aloha "And just LOOK at the Georgia fans! They have NO CLUE WHAT just happened!!" Funny thing - neither did Butch Jones. As I said on another video, that play is love/hate for me. On the one hand, it's great to win a game like that, but I think we all started to see that Butch Jones had reached his peak. The Vols would be beaten by A&M the next week, and then go a paltry 3-3 over the rest of the year, including a loss to SC out of a bye, and another loss to Vanderbilt. Of course, all of this was a precursor to the horrors of 2017. Dobbs and company deserved better.

Hearing John Ward's voice brings back some great memories. Many teams that Johnny Majors put on the field were underrated, in my opinion. Tennessee totally destroyed Miami in the Sugar Bowl...I believe it was 1985! The SEC Championship game with Auburn, was not a great game for Tennessee. But, somehow they won it for Peyton!
@madisonmensbackupchannel60966 ай бұрын
I was really glad see Dale Jones on here for the great play that he made against Bama.’ I lived in Knoxville in the 1970’s and 80’s. When Dale was playing football for UT he dated one of my next door neighbor’s daughters. Sometimes, when Dale was waiting for her to finish getting ready for their date, he would step outside and hang out with my friends and I for a little bit. Even though we were a bunch of nerdy junior high boys who could do nothing for him, he would throw the football around with us for a while and he gave us autographed footballs and photos of himself. A super great guy.

I am really impressed that you included the Floyd Miley 85 yard blocked field goal return in the Miracle at South Bend game! If that kick isn’t blocked & ran back for the TD, momentum doesn’t shift in our favor & the Miracle most likely never would’ve happened! I was 11 or 12 watching that game & was so disappointed, until I saw that return! My dad said “SO WHAT! They’re still losing by 2 TD’s & a FG!” My favorite team has made the biggest comeback I’d ever seen & beat the top team in the nation! As a little Vol fan at the time, that was National Championship level excitement for me! I’ve never forgotten about Floyd Miley either! I’m really excited that someone has finally included that in their list of all time Vols plays! That got you a lifetime follower here! 👏👏👏👏👏👍 PS While I’m in a Vol football zone, I’ll also mention that I was at the Florida game where Wilhoit missed the extra point that would’ve tied the game & almost left when that happened! If I had left that game, I would still be kicking my own @$$! I’ve been to several games at Neyland where different records were broken, & if I’m not mistaken, they announced that the crowd broke the college football record for loudest crowd in history at the time. I know I was at a game that broke that record, I think it was that Florida game, but it’s possible it was the Arkansas game where Jason Whitten caught the game winner in overtime at close to 3 am that broke what the record for most overtime’s & longest college football game ever up to that point. Anyway, I didn’t get to go to all their games when I lived there, but did save money so I could go to certain in conference rivalry games & I was very fortunate to have picked several games that included moments that are in the UT history books. I was at the Louisiana Monroe Homecoming game, I think in 2000, when Casey Clausen went in for the first time! On his very first snap as a Vol, he threw a touchdown pass to David Martin. I remember being excited about getting to see him finally play because I was excited about him. He was a great athlete who was built for the QB position, but he was also as dumb as a bag of hammers! If he’d had the intelligence of someone like Peyton, Hendon, or Josh Dobbs instead of the w-w-wataboy derrrr😂 he could’ve been phenomenal! I think his brother Rick got the intelligence which helped him to be a solid QB. Casey got the athletic ability which helped him to be a really good QB & Jimmy got all the arrogance & then some! I’m glad that turd chose to stay away from Knoxville! He was the type that infected teams with his toxic arrogance!

We won the 92 UF game 32-14. It was my freshman year at UT -- I got soaked. You might be thinking of the amazing TD run Mose had against South Carolina in 1992 with about 2 minutes left. We ended up losing that one. Travis Stephens screen pass against UGA in 2001 would probably also be on the list if we didn't choke that one in the hobnail boot game. You got a sub. Looking forward to some more content this season. Go Vols!

Pretty dang good list! That punt by Colquitt doesn’t get talked about much. Tennessee snapped Miami’s long Winning streak. I was curious what your #1 Play would be. Honestly, that Top 5 any could be #1. Those 2 FG Kicks by our Kickers Wilhoit and McGrath were special. That interception by Mayo was a nice play, but I’m not sure it was Top 20 Worthy. Tennessee was beating Arkansas by 14 at that point and shut McFadden down that day. Also, Casey completed the pass to CJ Fayton, not AJ. I’m sure it was a simple typing error. That play would be higher, simply because it’s Bammer and it was a clutch play. Like others have said, where is Billy Ratliff’s Forced Fumble? Without him blowing up that play against Arkansas, Tennessee doesn’t go undefeated and have the chance to Win a Natty.
