Here's others for a sequel to this list: - Idle Hands is a horror comedy in the best ways possible. - Student Bodies may have started the modern era of horror comedy. - The Hidden (1987) and.. - I Come In Peace (aka Dark Angel) are both action horror at its best. Along with... - Split Second (92) - The Nest (87 or 88) is just a creature feature to get under your skin. - The End?

I wouldn't necessarily say Sinister is underrated. For me, it falls more in the category of "Horror Gem that could've been". The film has a brilliant atmosphere and keeps the tension up for the majority of its run time; however, it completely fumbles the bag with its ending that devolves into a cheap action B-movie. Had they stuck the landing, Sinister would've gone down as one of the greatest horror films ever made.

Glad I'm not the only one. The original was very disjointed and they didnt use the dance element as well as they could have. You're supposed to like the original because of its brightly coloured and surreal backgrounds, so the story itself is sort of a second thought. They had the same issue in the Asian Movie Curse Of The Golden Flower, the sets are very attractive and must have taken ages to render, but the plot as a result, is not as clearly defined as it could have been. The original Suspiria has the same problem.

@@starscreamthecruel8026 I wholly agree. It’s always the same with Giallo. All style and no substance. I watched the original first and had no clue what the film was about at the end. Other than witches. The remake made everything much clearer, plus I preferred the ending.

I wouldn’t class many of these as underrated less so of all time as the likes of Mandy, Dog Soldiers, Possessor, Train To Busan, Green Room, In The Mouth of Madness, Drag Me To Hell and Bone Tomahawk all received positive critical and audience receptions and frequently appear on numerous horror themed lists. Exorcist 3, likewise, is loved by a legion (sorry!) of fans and not just Mark Kermode. The People Under The Stairs admittedly often gets overlooked though more often than not by Wes Craven’s other films, notably the Elm Street and Scream films, and deserves far more praise for its darkly comic tone and superb pairing of Everett McGill and Wendy Robie as the psychotic Robesons who share that same deranged onscreen chemistry so brilliantly ignited in Twin Peaks … … as for my underrated pick I’d have to choose Heartless, Phillip Ridley’s criminally overlooked gem from 2009 with Jim Sturgess, Eddie Marsan, Noel Clarke, Clemence Posey and Timothy Spall. Equal parts gory, disturbing, gothic and poignant it’s a film that deserves so much more love and attention with the strong cast and Clive Barker-esque horror vibe combining to deliver a real undersung genre classic that’s well worth seeking out.

Watching Mandy feels like a fever dream. In a good way. Although it's certainly not for everyone. However it's a good reminder that Nic Cage is still at the top of his game and people saying the man is a bad actor are clearly missing out on some of his best performances, including this one

Mandy is amazing!!! It was slow at the beginning but when it picks up it goes HARD!!! It’s amazing!! I love Andrea Riseborough so idk why I haven’t seen Possessor!! Especially when it’s a Brandon Cronenberg movie!! He’s brilliant like his daddy!

They should do horror movies where a person is adopted/kidnapped by a crazy family. Mum and Dad is one of my favorites

These are all well known. Everyone saying Trick R Treat (which i love) is under rated has never been to a spirit halloween store. I love your channel but somebody should please check out shudder, tubi, peacock, etc. There are so many unknown and interesting movies out there that should be given more love and attention that don't have big studio backing.

I always get excited when someone mentions Creep… until I realise it’s not the 2004 film with Sean Harris in it. It’s bloody brilliant. Not so much underrated as completely ignored. Which is such a shame.

Out of 20 movies I have only missed 4 of them and ironically the entity is only one I never heard of before the other are movies I've heard about but for some reason I never get around to watching I have to say out of 16 movies on here I have really enjoyed all of them Not one bad movie on this list so I'll definitely try to get around to watching the other 4 films soon 😁👍

I must be misunderstanding the word "underrated" because some of these most certainly aren't. And some are because they really, really suck. You didn't bother to go past the 80s, so you missed out on some real gems (Alice sweet Alice from 1976 is on KZbin rn)
