Opinions on the list Chris S. -Endless Love: Average at best. Arrangement was terrible. Antonella- Because You Loved Me: Way too big for her, high note was good though. Paul- Careless Whisper: Failed at falsetto, rest of performance was eh. Sanjaya- Knocks Me Off My Feet: Not bad for him, but still not very good. Jared- Let’s Get It On: He dedicated the song to his parents. Need I say more? Leslie- Natural Woman. Terrible song choice, Kelly can sing circles around her. Gina- Paint It Black: Not good at all. Very shouty. Alaina- Brass in Pocket: Not good enough, performance was pretty bad. Chris S.- Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic: Fitting he was eliminated that week. Antonella- Put Your Records On: Her voice couldn’t even handle that song? That’s sad. Leslie- Feeling Good: Another terrible song choice, and that stuttering was awful. Rudy- Free Ride: Sounded more like shouting than singing. Haley- If My Heart Had Wings: How she outlasted Sabrina I will never know. Nick- Now and Forever: Some parts were ok, others weren’t very good. Alaina- Not Ready to Make Nice: Awful, just awful. Sanjaya- Stepping out with My Baby: What was he thinking doing the song like that? Boring and old fashioned. Jordin- Hey Baby: Wrong song choice, was pitchy throughout. Gina- Call Me When You’re Sober: Another shouty performance. Brandon- You Can’t Hurry Love: Probably was more focused on that stupid dancing than he was on remembering the words. Nicole- Stay: Way too shouty and over the top. Phil- I Need You: Sounded awful throughout, weird song choice. LaKisha- Jesus Take The Wheel: If Simon loses his composure, then something must have gone wrong. Antonella- I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing: Should not have stayed that week based on that performance, awful singing. Haley- Turn the Beat Around: I wonder if Jeanine Vailes was inspired by this performance, because they were pretty much the same. Bad singing, and showing off their legs, basically coming off as a perv. Sanjaya- Ain’t No Mountain High Enough: So hard to listen to, but that’s Sanjaya for you. Sundance- Nights in White Satin: Not a good song choice at all, agreed with the judges on this one. Chris R.- Mayberry: This performance was nasally and pitchy at the same time. Sanjaya- Something To Talk About: Terrible song choice and performance, so bad even VFTW couldn’t save him. Sanjaya- You Really Got Me: I hope the Crying Girl was crying because of how bad this was, but I think she liked it. 😒 Sundance- Jeremy: Wasn’t good at all, not sure why Paula and Randy were cool with it. Chris R.- The Boss: This performance was hilariously pathetic.

Wow the semi finalists from that season were pure fodder. Yikes. I remember being obsessed with Jordin Sparks and staying up past my bedtime to vote for her. Her and Melinda were the only ones who were good that year.

I actually didn't think Haley making the finals was terrible ( I thought she was bland and pageanty but vocally not as bad as Alaina, Antonella, and Leslie). But of course Sanjaya was the joke of the season. Pretty much any of the other guys would've been better than him.

Jordin, Blake, and Melinda were a stellar final three. However, everything else from this season was fucking garbage lol. There's a reason why Season 6 has more auditions than any other season that are known as the most notoriously bad auditions in the history of the show. And I get the pleasure of actually remembering seeing some of them live on TV when I was eight years old.

First off, the number of performances you must've had to go through to make a list like this requires commendation. I'm also really glad you didn't just succumb to the temptation to make this Sanjaya & some pips, especially with the #1 slot, which is an absolutely valid and inspired pick. My only gripe is the inclusion of both Leslie Hunt performances (I loved how bonkers she was), but I totally understand why they're my and only my cup of tea. Looking forward to Season 7 and beyond!

I liked Leslie too, but thought her song choices were really odd considering her distinctive voice, especially the Aretha song.

thank you so much! making these lists are really hard because I have to look through everything to see all the shit thats put out each year. seasons 7-9 are easy peasy though because I've studied those seasons over and over again for years, so I pretty much know whats terrible from those seasons. and yeah it wouldve been easy to just have Sanjaya performances for this season, but that would be unfair and lazy. but believe me, I had a hard time with the top 5 because I was going back and forth with what I wanted to number 1 to be and number 2, etc. so I just went with what made me cringe the most, and came to a decision. and as for Leslie, I respect your opinion as we all have them and your entitled to yours as I am to mine. I'm looking forward to making seasons 7-9 because those are my favorite seasons of the show! but they won't be overstuffed like season 6 is with all the honorable mentions as I don't think there are as many bad performances.

I would actually argue that Alaina was actually worse than Antonella. It's an unpopular opinion but Antonella's singing doesn't hurt my ears as much as Alaina's. And I completely agree about "Brass in Pocket." It was full of desperation

Yaaay, already? Ouch, didnt remember Chris Sligh singing out of pocket bothered me sooo much. I was wondering if you should just make one spot with a combo of all Sanjaya´s performances just with 1- Sanjaya. I would just put Brandon Rogers ´´You Can´t Hurry Love`` higher.. Pitchy, voice breaking in spots, one of the worst case of missing the lyrics without covering it up ( Brooke White asking the full band to restart her performance still takes the prize). This list also made me remember how much Phil Stacey sucked most of the season till like top 7.

yes already! I had both seasons 5 and 6 done before uploading, wanted to upload together. it was funny doing these lists with Taylor Hicks and Sanjaya taking most of the spots. Phil Stacey wasn't great, but his performance of I Need You bothered me the most for how creepy it was. I had a real hard time making the top 5 for season 6 because they were all pretty bad, but I finally came to a decision and just went with what made me cringe more. seasons 7-9 will be easy to make because I've studied those seasons pretty well for years, so I know which ones were terrible those seasons. I already have them all written down, I just need to make a list and then the video. I'll have them ready by August. it's almost my birthday and what a better way to celebrate than talking about my favorite seasons from my favorite show!
