It wasn't made by The Asylum, it was actually made in Italy. Unfortunately Italy is also home to other trainwrecks about the Titanic disaster like The Legend of the Titanic and Tentacolino AKA In Search of the Titanic. The letter two were a collaboration between Italy and North Korea. You can definitely they were both animated in North Korea just by looking at the art style. Let me tell you Tentacolino isn't just worse than this and The Legend of the Titanic but it is also the WORST OF THE WORST! I am talking nonsensical and unfocused plot which hardly includes the Titanic even though it's on the title, bonkers acid trip-esque imagery that would even give the criminally insane a heart attack and an ending which retcons the ending of its predecessor. Even Nostalgia Critic needed a planet-sized Jägermeister in order to get through it. He did the same thing when sitting through the other 2 movies. As these movies got worse the Jägermeister got bigger and bigger.
