Top 3 for me were: 3. Anamanaguchi - [USA] 2. Madeon - Good Faith 1. Tyler, the Creator - IGOR Kind of a bummer to not see igor here, even if rap isn't your thing I feel that the overall vibe of the album is something even rap haters can get into.

It is weird because I feel like Alon Mor's album is a 10 (and Echoes Follow was possibly my favourite single and music video of the year), but I also don't feel it's my favourite album, and I feel I even prefer listening to some other albums I can still see flaws in. I'd be interested to see what direction Alon takes on his next project, what he can derive from these previous albums and where he can exercise innovation.

Actually yeah this sums up my thoughts pretty well. It's impossible to not call it a perfect album, but i dont particularly want to put it over albums that may be flawed, but hit me more emotionally and I enjoy listening to more.

@@ahri3887 One flaw could possibly be that it doesn't have enough variety. I recall getting to Neolithic Fantasies and I felt the first drop in that, despite being faster, felt a bit similar to Echoes Follow, which came a while before. Maybe each track could have capitalised a tiny bit better on their own unique individual characteristics within "Lands of Delight". A friend of mine also critiqued it saying "the distortion was a bit much at times". I do get where he comes from a little because it was a primary textural element of the album, and wading through noise is likely a very niche sonic taste. But all these critiques are minor, and I'm mostly interested to see where Alon goes from here.

Alon is a demigod. His production is immaculate, his arrangement and sounddesign beyond creative. You can't really push boundaries more than him. If Lands Of Delight isn't a 10 nothing deserves to be a 10. It's not a casual listen for sure but it's the audio equivalent of a salvia-DMT-candyflip. It grabbed by the throat with one hand, by the balls with the other and just ripped me the fuck apart. Incomparably mind-bending, smotheringly dense and stunning in its beauty.

Damn everyone is sleeping on Faux Tales! His albums Hiraeth is my AOTY across all genres, and Home is my song of the year. Followed closly by Bandana by Freddie Gibs and Madlib and The Plugs I Met by Benny The Butcher. Checkout faux tales’s album, it has no vocals but it is so beautiful.

Really happy to see some more logical appreciation for Billie Eilish. Even as somebody who doesn't listen to her a lot, you can't help but respect somebody actually taking time to construct a cohesive, passionate project, especially when they're such a large name.

What a great year for electronic music! Really satisfied about the majority of the albums released throughout the months. Here are my picks: 1- Canopy by Spoonbill. I just love it so much and I can't stop listening to every track of the album 2- Lands of Delight by Alon Mor. Nothing much to say here... You said everything. Just so great and interesting 3- Trumours by Maynix. This is a completely unknown and difficult album to listen to, with a lot of experimentation everywhere. But it goes far beyond the expectations once you try it 4- Hi This is Flume Mixtape by Flume. The hype was right, and, while I appreciated Skin a lot, this one was an absolute experience. Still don't understand how so much people enjoyed it considering its nature 5- Provenance by Monuman. It's a quiet and almost minimal album, with a unique atmosphere. Definitively forgotten month after month, but still a really interesting and immersive experience 6- Headspaces by Hudson Lee. I know how much you appreciate this LP, and I still listen to most of its songs very often, but I find it less atmospheric and intriguing compared to the albums above. Nonetheless a phenomenally good album, and everyone can agree on that 7- Show Some Teeth by Sullivan King. A good album, with his best works so far. I didn't expected it to be this good 8- Trascendency by Phaseone. Like Show Some Teeth, a great Metalstep album with really enjoyable tracks and a lot of work behind. I'm ok with it 9- Oblivion Reimagined by Crywolf. That's a bit lower because it's basically remixes. But such a quality album, my goodness... 10- NOVA (Remixes) by RL Grime. A lot of good tracks, and a lot of genres. Even Valentino Khan managed to make a decent track, and that's a thing...
