Im really interested in UE5. But what about modeling?.. which would suit best if I wanna go the UE5 rendering route. I wanna future proof myself. I used Sketchup all my life, but as we all know the quality of the ready made models are way way less than say max or blender. If you do make it high poly.. your file will be blown up to a crashing proportion. Also I want to know your thoughts on Revit- this software is really really a must for most International Architectural firms...

Hi! I believe you can actually model in UE5 as well. It's also interesting you bring up blender, I think they will become more widespread because many people are learning how to use it to create NFTs etc. It's not specifically an architectural software similar to UE5 but you can get very photorealistic renders out of it. I don't think SketchUp is going anywhere anytime soon, I think they will buy another one of this intuitive rendering software and compete with the best. That's my honest opinion.

@@nateroberteze , oh i didnt know you can model a lot inside Unreal. Let me check that out. I applied for a job and I was not accepted because Im using sketchup for modeling and not the more robust 3ds max. I really wish 3ds max is as easy and intuitive as sketchup and I hope sketchup is a as good as 3ds max in modelling really high poly high quality stuff.

@@skyheart125 yeah, I haven’t quite gotten the hang of 3Ds max yet. Definitely check out the UE5 modeling though, it’s a newer function. Sketchup is still a good skill to hold on to because many people work with it still. My company works with hundreds of design firms and developers and I’d say about 75% use sketchup.
