I could not be a generalist because digital marketing is changing at a rapid rate, that one would have to keep up with the trends in all components. My focus is on SEO.

@ Gina, I have a few queations: 1. What would.you say is the difference between Content Creator/Developer/Manager/Marketer on the one hand, and Editor on the other? 2. In your oppinion is there a job like Visual Content Creator/Marketer? Someone who is primalriy focused on creating and managing visual content (photos, videos, infografics)...and if so, is there a demand for this kind of job? Os is the visual content basically part of that wider Content Marketer job? 3. Given the above, how skilled do you think a Ck te t Marketer should be in creating visual co tent (photos, videos, infovraphics, etc.) 4. How would you describe the difference between the skill No. 2 (Social Media Marketimg).and skill No. 3 (Facebook and Instagram ads)?

Thanks for your question! Every job and skill you’ve listed is very separate. I would urge you to do some research into “Graphic Designer”. That is the role that would be involved in visual content. That is the only job that would be creating and managing photos, videos and infographics.

Fantastic video! I just stumbled upon your page and have found so much value in your content. I'm in Toronto and started out in marketing as a generalist and have been in sales for 2 years in the public sector. I am looking to narrow my skills and get back into marketing, this time in the private sector. In an earlier video you gave 3 great tips to get started and the second was networking. Do you have any advice for networking online? It feels like I am starting from square one and all of my connections are in the public sector.
