Demanding content creators to address certain topics, such as the passing of a well-loved KZbinr, is mind-boggling to me. It's asking people to be performative and it is disrespectful towards each person's grieving process AND the person who just passed away. Social media access and use should come with a course in online manners.
@Shannonishere3 жыл бұрын

@Maddvermilion3 жыл бұрын
I don't care what anyone says, you should not have to publicly address grief. I wonder if those people may have not experienced strong grief in their lifetime. I recently lost a parent and I resented when people would say "sorry for your loss" therefore I kept my family's loss private because that is what I needed to cope with it at the time. 💜 You Angie 💜
@jenniferneil84553 жыл бұрын
I cope with the "I'm sorry for your loss," with gallows humour. My Dad passed in May. When I called the funeral home to start the process of getting him cremated, the funeral director said this, and I replied, "Oh, I haven't lost him. I know exactly where he is." Grief is personal, how you cope is personal. No one should expect anyone to be performative in their grief.
@nenumsroomofmakeup3 жыл бұрын
I agree with this. Everyone grieve differently and it’s up to that person on how they want to deal with grief. No one should expect anyone to deal with grief publicly. Because you don’t know how they have already dealt with it.
@mariafranciscabertoglio67593 жыл бұрын
Angie: IT'S OK that you can't or won't adress it publically. It's called dissociation, you push emotions down to function. It becomes a problem only when you don't adress them at all (if you continue to push them down when you don't need to function). It's actually a feature of highly intelligent and productive people. My problem is that, with the pandemic, I started not letting any emotion out ever, because there were too many, I was too lonely (isolated) and now I can't un-learn it by myself. I'm asking for short term professional help so, self care above all.

Make sure to put the cap on quickly everytime you open the bottle to preserve the consistency of it.); for second place I will put the $40 Huda Beauty Luminous Matte foundation (natural looking full coverage. I dilute it with Wet n Wild hydrating primers, and use it full on as face concealer). Now Concealer: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear concealer, second place It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye. Powder: Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying loose powder for setting & No7 Lift & Illuminate TRiple Action pressed powders to make blush/bronzer look airbrushed (finishing powder). Bronzer: Huda Beauty Glowish Radiance Bronzer. Highlighter: Makeup Geek (makes my skin look dewy and radiant withouth accentuating texture the way some highlighters can. makes any matte blush look high end). Matte Blush: Makeup Geek. Priming Sunscreens that work with these: Paulas Choice Youth Extending Fluid Spf, Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Spf, Skinceuticals Brightnening UV Defense spf. I dont wear liquid foundation with Minerl sunscreen, only with chemical or combo sunscreens. With MIneral SS I only use powder foundation (Jcat Aquasurance). I apply all of this with a damp sponge. Powders with fluffy tapered brushes. Cheers

I too bought that Armani concealer at the recommendation of Mel. In fact, when I look at so much of my makeup, much of it was because I trusted her recommendations so much and she was who I would go to as my bottom line for purchases. We had the same skin texture, tone and taste in products. It’s beyond bizarre to see her presence amongst my collection. She will never be forgotten and her memory will live on. She was so genuine and lovely. I am realizing now more than I ever did how much she was actually part of my life in such a strange way even though I didn’t “know” her. Screw everyone who are being jackasses because in the end, they are the one's who don't know how to deal with their feelings and belittling others makes them feel better.

It’s okay Angie 💕 Grief is the most difficult emotion to handle. In 2018, one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known took their life at 21, In 2020 I lost both my dogs and one of my longest most cherished friends to cancer 12 weeks after his diagnosis. He was 22. Then this year a week before my birthday one of my best friends from when I was 11/12 took her life. She was 23, Less than 2 weeks later my best friends lost their dad/step dad to cancer whilst I was with them. Then two weeks after that, one of my other friends had a heart attack and died at 28. So I’ve lost a lot of people the last few years and it’s been 3 years since the first person I mentioned passed away and I still can’t wrap my head around it. I really can’t. I sit around sometimes and think of them and just cry my eyes out. I think of them every single day and it’s just the worst feeling in the world 💔🥺 Take your time 💕 you do not owe anything anyone either 🧡

Sending you love and strength. You deal with your feelings how ever you can and disregard anyone who says you NEED to do anything. People who care for you won’t and don’t expect you to say more than you are comfortable with. You don’t need to explain. I admit finding someone relatable is always endearing; but there are all kinds of people and there are going to be people who find that you keeping your emotions private relatable, it lets those people know that it’s okay to be like that. I do encourage you to reach out to someone you can trust to talk when you are ready if you need to. Sometimes talking things out can help process tough situations and feelings. It lets you release tension and move forward, but not to forget, no, never to forget. I’ve been in talk therapy for two years. It’s helped me a lot. Just wanted to share my perspective, in case you could relate and needed not to feel so alone.

(Also I am expecting her anniversary palette coming as well, there is one trademark for Jubilee palette and since the brand was founded in 2002 I assume it will be for the 20 year anniversary, unfortunately not sure about the colour story, but since the Gold palette got discountinued I am HOPING for a Midi or a Metropolis sizing/format type which resembles her best colours and the Gold colour story was pretty iconic, fingers crossed).

Ahh, I’m so excited for this one!! I love hearing about more than just eyeshadows (as much as I love your eyeshadow reviews, lol) because your skin type and preferences seem to be similar to mine! I JUST purchased the Nyx Born To Glow concealer because of you, and wow!!! It looks so amazing on my dry under eyes, and somehow it brightens without being the wrong tone *or* being 2 shades too light for me! Another fantastic thing is that I don’t even have to set it. Needless to say, I absolutely love it, and it’s seriously the best concealer I’ve tried. My top medium coverage foundation at the moment is the Bite Beauty Changemaker foundation. It doesn’t cling to my dry patches, it’s not too tacky, it doesn’t look cakey even when you do add a bit of setting powder, it layers fantastically with any cream products and basically any primer, and it’s my *perfect* shade (undertones and all)! I highly suggest trying it, even though the price put me off of it at first. I’ve realized that my dry, hella sensitive skin, is just so incredibly finicky that it’s worth trying *some* mid range-to-higher end foundations. And the only primers I’ve found that actually does anything for me are 1) the Elf Watermelon Jelly primer - It really keeps my concealers and foundations in place all day, and it’s the perfect amount of tackiness. and 2) the Elf Pore Putty primer for when I’m having days where my pores just aren’t working well with my foundations (cause our skin changes day-to-day, y’all! prep it properly). As for a setting power, I just tried the Nyx Can’t Stop Won’t Stop PRESSED Setting Powder. Holy crap, that stuff is the powder of my dreams. It’s pressed, super finely milled, and it does not make my foundation or concealer feel heavy or devoid of any moisture! It’s seriously amazing for my dry skin. It doesn’t bunch up my foundations, plus it doesn’t make me so matte that my face looks totally flat. I love it! I think those are all I have the energy to type out at the moment, but I loved hearing about your favs, Angie! (In fact, I think I may be grabbing that Juvias Place bronzer duo soon 👀)

I never have a second foundation/ concealer/ powder, like I haven't used up the firt set I got in my life. But blush and highlighter wise, MAC Melba and OFRA Cloud-9 are my go-to if I don't want to think about makeup that day, they are so easy and mistake-proof.

Milani Prep Set Glow powder is the only powder I use under my eyes. It is luminous with NO particles of shimmer or sparkle or anything, idk how they did it. It’s so natural. It is so thin that it doesn’t make my under eyes textured at all, or look dry. It sets without looking like you’ve got powder on, just a nice finish to your skin. You can use it all over your face too if you’re dry or over powdered for a little life to your skin as well, but it doesn’t control oil so watch out- it’s definitely a FINISHING powder more than a setting powder, even though that’s how I use it under my eyes.

I'm so sorry angelika :( people are so demanding on the internet, know that your viewers respect your privacy and we don't want you to do anything you don't want to , everyone deals with grief differently

I love this video idea. I’m of the same mindset in that I don’t deal with things I just try to carry on. Stay strong Angie ❤️

That NYX Hd pressed powder, is a silica based finishing powder, (hence the buttery feel) so if you can look up another silica based banana powder you’d probably get pretty close to duping it. Your right it’s great for texture, I use the loose powder, as a last step, EVERY day. (Hope they’re not discontinuing the whole line) 😔

I recreated the look you have here with the club nebula palette and the huda mercury retrograde palette as its so beautiful. I think it suits you more than me but I had fun

I have my viseart violette palette out and have been using it just about every day. That's the thing I got because of Mel. Grief is weird.
