wow,,,,,,,this is truly amazing information, i have been trying to master suspending jerkbait fishing, this was an incredible tip!, im shocked at the reel you reccomend, its 7.6 oz, what a heavy weight, i would go with the mgx extreme at around 4.5 oz, nearly half the weight, and that rod is absolutely the best jerkbait rod ever invented bar none,,,,i love the short but and its not too long, perfect length , so your not hitting boat, water, or trolling motor!

Great tips Mike... I love jerkbait fishing!... (topwater is the only thing that is better... Lol)... and Rapala is my #1 choice... really use X-Raps a lot, but in cold water, definitely Shadow Raps and HJs

I just ordered 6 smaller x raps. I was gonna ask mike where they fit in. I’m guessing much mire of an aggressive slash?

Really enjoy your instructional vids in “the shop”! You do a fantastic job of keeping your explanations very basic and easy to understand which translates to more efficient application for us on the water. Wondering if you could give a brief overview of the WHY or the science behind why nose up/ slow float or nose down/slow sink is important in the different conditions. Does this match what happens to bait fish in different baro pressure conditions? I love the science behind the why! 😀👍🏼🎣

I'm definetely ordering one of those rods, i hate a rod with a long butt in the winter. That long butt gets hung up in my coat, very frustrating. Great video by the way #Mike, i have been sharing all your vids with my fishing buddies.

Suspend head up, head down, horizontally, etc. It doesn't matter. The fishes aren't really smart and doesn't know the difference. All that matters is if your lure looks like easy prey/food.
