Simple down throw di mixup that kills early with arsene: grab opponent at ledge (read neutral/attack get up, pressure them to the ledge, or catch landing). Most people will hold in due to being at ledge, so down throw into double jump up air will combo and kill sometimes at the 70 - 90 range (character dependent), and when an opponent gets hit by it once or twice, they will hold away, allowing you to double jump fair or back air. Down throw up air: opponent holds in, so they will get sent more up Down throw forward/back air: opponent holds away, so they will get sent further towards the blast zone

@@firestone1026 it’s a di mixup, make sure you have a second controller and set training to control, then grab by the ledge and hold in with the second character since that’s realistic. I practiced by using my hands for joker and my feet to hold in lmao, and now I do it when I grab at ledge with arsene instead of forward throw and get it on people

keep going for it in game but don’t spam it because fair is not that safe on shield and can get easily shielded! mix Fair 1s with empty jump grabs to stop the opponent from shielding and maybe try again there! 👍🏽

I like going for U air drag down grab loops. Also like fair 1->drag down->smash attack. Also also like doing fair 1 into fair 1 into jab lock into down smash

at 0% With Arsene and a platform. You can do Dair > Up Tilt > Up air *fast fall* > DJ Up Air or Bair. The combo is true an does around 62% with the UpAir and 66% with the Bair. But if you go for BAir, there's a chance that you only get the Arsene hitbox instead of "Joker's Bair + Arsene" hitbox. Thus, the combo will do 56% instead of 66%.

Great vid! I also did some testing and down throw nair to fair is actually true at around 20 percent. You can get some true follow ups off of down throw nair.

Additionally you can also attack cancel bair instead of plain fair; the timing is tight but it is true and optimization is always worth it imo

2:06 I wonder why this is. I hadn't been doing it because I didn't realize you could still get the spike hitbox while doing a short hop cross-up dair until testing it just now, and my full hops were kinda obvious. Maybe people are just more used to using spaced moves (e.g. from playing swordies) instead of cross-up ones and so just naturally gravitate towards using fair 1 instead? Because it looks like fair 1 is -10 on shield, whereas dair is -7, so there should be some situations where dair would be preferred.

I’ve noticed that I have wait like half a second before I input the controls for the instant Bair and it’s true, otherwise if I try to do it right away it’s too soon doesn’t register correctly. Hopefully that helps!

if the opponent shields you can instead not go for a fair 1 and land with nothing and grab their shield! but i guess u can go for them on roll/spotdodge/tech chase reads 👍🏽

If they form a habit of shielding when you jump in, jump, don’t fair, land and grab. Joker has good grab combos and it turns the situation into a 50 50.

Or you can use it as a punish against laggy moves / bad habits
