One that I use but it might be popular is Advanced Auto Switcher. I use a separate scene and alerts for my League Client and League in game and this plugin makes it so that whenever the .exe of the game is detected it sticks the Game scene until the game ends and the exe disappears, also goes back automatically to the Client scene. I know there is an auto scene switcher in OBS itself but it’s not as good at what I asked him to do. You can set triggers by screen regions, exe, window names, pretty much anything, set a priority for trigger recognition and set up automated switch sequences

This video came at the perfect time for me. I've been trying to figure out how to record sources separately, specifically emulator windows for Citra and MelonDS (I don't have a 3DS capture card, which is why I have to resort to emulation). Exeldro will be IMMENSLY helpful. Thanks for the tip, Harris!
@taxa15692 жыл бұрын
I actually suggest when you have the means to do it, get a 3ds capture card installed or one from eBay or anything whatsoever to get your hands on one! I bought one for a reasonable price not more than a year ago, and started recording (ironically enough with source record) the top and bottom screen independently of one another AND a combined view within a single instance of OBS and it is... Mint. This is mainly possible because I'm using 3x scaling and recording pixel perfect gb/GBA/DS/3ds footage in OBS. Which. Isn't particularly intensive because the resolutions times 3 is just not much haha. But my outdated server can do all 3 recording using x264 in what is essentially lossless format. And I can almost guarantee it could be done with less. Emulators can crank up the res much higher and use more capable hardware to make things look nicer but I like original hardware and minimal scaling/blur issues with texture filtering/AA etc. Changes the experience :P I've learned that you can do quite interesting things with a multi system setup too. It's entirely possible that Harris might enjoy getting the word out about such things but I'll keep my (not so secret) secrets for now :P
@taxa15692 жыл бұрын
Oh and can't forget you can use the bottom screen touch functionality! :P

I'm a hardware junkie so the "streamer tool" I think that is worth talking about would be midi-controllers (like the Korg Nanokontrol2 which is under $100) used in combination with the Midi-Mixer software and the OBS Plugin for that software. This would allow hardware control (faders, knobs, soft buttons) of individual windows volume sources, control of volume sources inside OBS directly, and OBS Scene and source control all at the free level of the software. If its something that interests you in featuring, I have a full tutorial video on the setup and usage a Korg Nanokontrol2 with Midi-Mixer you could watch to formulate your own opinion or quick overview if you tried it out. Anyways, keep on rockin.
