Top 3 Reasons Why Second Marriages Fail - Rene Garcia Divorce Coach is dedicated to men going through either their second or first divorce because there is a cautionary tale to learn from second marriages, and here, I discuss why second marriages fail more often than first marriages. I do it by telling a story about a man who meets a woman named Katie, who has already been through a divorce due to her abusive ex-husband. They fall in love, and the man thinks he has found the right partner because they have common experiences and lessons learned from their first marriages. However, the blended family factor becomes a problem, and the man starts losing his identity with his children while also trying to be a good stepfather to Katie's children. Brother, appreciate your comment. You know, I remember saying that I wasn't sure this video was going to work because I wasn't sure I was going to have an audience for it. That's why I focused so heavy in the first divorced men, because it is a cautionary tale and second divorces are undoubtedly harder. I'd tell myself I was naïve about it.

Please do not generalize. I as a woman has a roommate who has narcissistic tendencies. She does not take accountability for her actions. I made her understand that I will not fo back and forth arguing with her because she was running away from accountability. I know men who hate accountability because they have narcissistic tendencies. It seems to me that you need to learn about narcissism. Not everyone is a narcissist. It ll boils down to the intention.

Not everyone is facing the decision about 2nd marriage because of divorce. After 40 happy years of marriage I lost my wife to cancer. It means I don’t have the same baggage as a divorced person. 5 years on I am in a relationship and thinking about the many challenges of sharing life with my new partner. The issues seem to be around trust, security, blended or completely unblended families, each persons aspirations and interests. Both being bereaved was a help at the start - nothing like what we hear about divorce. The only similarity is that you are both lonely and facing life as singles in a world that is very much couples oriented. But as time heals the bereavement pain (it’s real and physical) there needs to be more to draw you together than fear of being alone. I don’t have the answers - still looking.
