8:52 - Not an easy chart to read. I don't think he should show customers the chart, just use it in the background. "The chart is my first idea." Take one idea and try to sell it. You can't just come and say, "I have an idea." Yet, it worked! You're certainly not worth $20,000, yet he got his $10K. He SAID he has an app, yet he didn't show it to them??? I'm guessing this deal won't go through once the Dragon does due diligence. If he actually had a half decent app, he would have shown it to them.

Too bad the scrotum people weren't better salesman. If they would have pushed Jim a little, they would have got that sale. They could have pushed that he could contact his old contacts in the police department, especially police who ride horses, like he said, and then he could get in contact with his hockey contacts. If they would have pushed, they would have had a billionaire behind them. He also seems like a really nice guy.

It's from a number of years ago, because Kevin O'Leary is still on it. Shark's Tank was only created after Kevin was kicked off Dragon's Den. And THAT only happened after Arlene was gone for a couple of years. The Producers asked her to come back, after many viewers were asking for her, and she agreed to come back, but only if Kevin was gone. Kevin originally created Dragons Den, but the producers wanted Arlene more than they wanted Kevin. Kevin was starting to kind of rip people off, as I've seen him do on Shark's Tank, and people were starting to not be willing to have deals with him anyways. It's ironic that he has called some of the other Dragon's royalty deals evil. In addition, there are two women who have been on the current Dragon's Den for years, that are not on this version (Manjit Minhas and Michelle Romanow, have both been on Dragon's Den for 8 years). So, this is from a long time ago - over a decade for sure.

He’s just by far the most successful and he’s completely no-BS about how he does things. Often times he’ll just offer what they asked for without even negotiating even when other dragons aren’t interested

He's like Mark Cuban in Shark's Tank. He created Boston Pizza and Mr. Lube, among other companies. He was a cop before then. He's definitely the richest Dragon. In the earlier ones, a woman came on with a Ms. Lube created to help women not get ripped off. Jim, however, said he couldn't make any comments as he was going to be involved with a lawsuit against them, as they basically copied his name and logo, only changing the MR to MS. Oops! It would have been a good idea.
