What seeds are you sowing this month? There's still time to get going with tomatoes (see my guide here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2K9dop5rdqCnqc) and if you're running out of growing space then have you considered a plastic greenhouse? I have two! But if you're unsure how good they are then check out my recent review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e37HgWOdf8Rjl8k

Alex all of my tomatoes died after I transplanted them 😭 so I can I try planting them again

@@503Sparky Ah no, sorry to hear that. Still time to get strong plants that, for the most part, should catch up fairly quickly. Hard to diagnose why the transplant failed but my most common reason is damaging the stems - I'm too clumsy and end up knocking or pinching them, when really I shouldn't be touching them at all

My addiction to growing herbs began three summers ago. I put a whole packet of basil seeds in a pot. I forgot about it. Months later I smelled pizza and thought who is baking pizza? It smells so good. I turned and looked around and it was the basil right there huge and globular staring at me.

Such a great smell. I used to brush mine every time I walked past. Rosemary is good for that too --- I think I read it's meant to be beneficial for memory/mentally stimulating but I can't quite remember (clearly haven't had a whiff of rosemary recently)

No worries, hope you enjoyed it. I'd expect to see some germination by now, assuming they were in a warm location, not waterlogged/dry. I'm known to go and dig for the seed and check if it has started sprouting. Could be worth investigating or starting a second batch - you could try doing it in a paper towel if you're unsure about the seeds or maintaining moisture levels

I absolutely love growing basil! I made so much pesto sauce last year I ran out of people to give them to 😂 I would love to grow coriander and spring onions but so far I haven't had any luck after transplanting them

One of those great smells, basil. A very addictive plant and fun to keep. Coriander is definitely a little harder is general - I like to transplant them pretty young, partly because I always accidentally sow too many in a pot but also because of the time of year I start them and also to give them a good soaking when they are in their new home. But I've not specifically tried to diagnose any problems --- other than forgetting about them and letting them dry out

What size is your container that you grow your carrots in. Anthony from South Africa Western Cape

Hi Anthony, I use one which is about 20cm deep but I don't fill it all the way, maybe 15cm. I did a video on growing carrots kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXK8nWxna5tobtE which I think gives you a sense of how much headroom I leave in the planters (and there should be links in both video descriptions to the exact planter if it's available in your location).
