What is also nice is to do Poison Daggers with the "Flower blooms twice" You proc poison in about 8 Hits and then you swoop in with tha AOW for around 4k Damage. Then go back and repeat.

It feels like almost every boss is crazy resistant to poison. I've gotten most to 1/2 hp before poison finally procs..

Also what’s less known is that AoW itself applies scarlet rot. Using it on any enemies affected by poison or rot will remove the rebuff for a damaging explosion, but if you just spam the weapon art alone on an enemy you’ll scarlet rot them fairly quick. It’s the only ash of war in the game that allows us to technically inflict scarlet rot with almost any weapon.

i've found that piercing shot can be great to start a fight if you can line up some enemies, especially since it seemingly has almost twice the range of the normal throw, but otherwise yeah... its not a great default ash for it is it.

Hey, I'm running with the flame art daggers from your build now and they are awesome, but it looks like the weapon is a little glitched, as they do not cause damage during a finishing critical attack. For example, when you knock a large monster or boss off balance, he falls and his weak spot is highlighted with an orange dot; when you press the attack button at this moment, there will be a finishing move. So the throwing knives do no damage at this moment, I've tested this on Godrick and golem enemies near Godrick great rune tower. Also on giant octopus enemies. So, the only way is to wait for the fix, I guess? I am now carrying around an erdsteel flame dagger just for finishing strikes, because you know, furnace golems from the DLC are gonna take forever because of that issue.

These daggers are so underrated. I use the flame ones with the clawmark ash of war to do a lot of the jumping R2 attacks, and the daggers a lot of times end up being head shots because you are jumping while doing it so it works great. And then when I get a group of enemies I use the scattershot ash of war as shown. It's such a fun weapon, you really do feel like a ninja.

I thought that too. But maybe the idea is putting fire affinity so that you can buff better with Flame Grant me Strength (the buff increases physical and fire damage) and use that Woundrous Physick that increases fire damage and makes enemies covered in oil.

Claw of the Night is more a claw weapon that you can throw, so it's strength is melee. Where as the daggers are medium range weapons. So the throwing part actually does more damage than the Claw of the Night. So if you're primarily wanting to throw blades at your enemies the daggers are the better option.

my fire dagger build doesn't do as much damage as shown in the vídeo... the dagger is already +25 with flame art scattershot throw and my stats are 22 str, 31 dex, 16 int and 90 faith!!! also 9 arcane but it's useless. I'm also using fire scorpion charm, smithing talisman and shard of Alexander

Im showing dmg in normal game + in dlc. In dlc its higher because of scadutree fragments. Also make sure to use ash of war closer, for this burst

@@nacht2929 I dunno. The jump R2 is apparently very good. It's like bow where a headshot will stagger enemies long enough for you to do another jump R2 headshot. So you can chain someone to death.

insanely good I've been destroying everyone. just bait attacks and do a backwards jump attack and headshot them free 400+ damage. and with scattershot throw you can sometimes stagger them through roll with a headshot somehow and true combo into another jumping headshot

Actually run these as a side arm for cold martial arts build with 40/40/40 - str/dex/int, you get 382 AR and you can use cold infused hand-to-hand arts weapon for really good melee damage. SL 150 (Wretch) Vigor - 60 Mind - 10 Endurance - 25 Strength - 40 Dexterity - 35 Intelligence - 39 Faith - 10 Arcane - 10 Important Armor Piece - Circlet of Light (+1 intelligence, +1 faith, +1 Arcane) gives 40 intelligence and 11 faith Important Talismans - Milicent's Prosthesis (+5 Dexteirty, gives 40 dexterity), Shattered Stone Talisman (Can be replaced with WSI or RWSI), last 2 slots are flex slots (For defense, utility, or damage) and if you wanted to add buffs you can easily just allocate 4 points from either Endurance or Intelligence into faith (Wouldn't recommend going below 30 intelligence or 20 endurance). You can also just rip 5 points from Vigor for 55 vigor, and run 26 endurance, 40 str, 35 dex, 39 intelligence, 14 faith. But also, if you want these as your main weapon go flame art, sacred or magic (As the Intelligence/faith scaling gives physical damage + elemental at the same time)

What you mean good and fun to use the legit worst weapon in the dlc edit you have to be in melee range to even hit the daggers with their “ranged attacks” and damage is abysmal even on back wash enemies just no worth it for any reason and of the other smith script weapons are way better with much father range on thrown attacks and the ability to be used as actual weapons in cases where actual melee weapons are needed

R2 hits way further than R1
