I have 3 Merlin stoves, I burnt stove ovals and other smokeless coal, in the slimline, it was fantastic at it.... It would run 24-7 on a bucket of coal if it was not that windy outside.... I live right on the sea's edge and it can really blow!!! They are also excellent at wood burning..... Keep up the good work,👍

I have a hetta 45 multi fuel stove can I burn coal on it and how do I do this

Clean your stove out, open the grate, light your fire as normal and then start placing coal in the middle above the grate. Should all be nice and simple.

I'm looking at changing soon what would you say is a great multi fuel stove mostly burning smokeless. Also how do you rate the portway arundel they have amazing reviews online by people

The only reason I’m unnerved by this stove is the fact that they definitely don’t want me to test it. And I figure that if you’ve proud of the product why would you fear my view? Having said that, I have no reason to believe there’s anything wrong with it at all. If you’re planning to replace it, then I would probably buy something not dissimilar. However if I wanted a step up in quality, control and burn time then after my experience this year I’d buy a Woodwarm!!!
