Not sure about other countries but here in England a brand called compeed who do blister plasters sell these sticks that you rub on your feet to prevent this and works perfectly. I've had this issue with one toe in particular but I used it before a half marathon all over my toes and I had absolutely no issues

what do you do when you have distal toe pain at TIP but not the toe nail (feels like blister or tender) BENEATH/DEEP to heavily calloused distal toe skin 2nd toe of a MORTON's Toe (2nd toe is longest)... would love tips on that if you can help. had first 1/2 marathon 1 mo ago and prior to and after still having just small area of very tender region at *distal tip*

Hey doc do you put the glide on the toes or the actual toenail

Hey Brooke, Great question.. I put glide on the leading edge of the toenail itself, right where you would expect it to contact or scrape the inside of the running shoe.
