I have read most of the biographies and autobiographies of all the major actors, actresses, directors, studio heads and even some of the studio Fixers, which back-up and confirm what was going on out of the public view. Now with Scottie Bowers recent controversial memoire Full Service, he goes into greater detail about their private lives as he was intimately involved in their personal lives. This confirms the oblique references (polite hints) made years earlier in many other biographies, which can be cross-referenced for accuracy. When I visited Hollywood, I found there is an overwhelming atmosphere of seediness, sadness, menacing, evil and exploitation. Felt very uncomfortable there. Couldn't wait to leave.
