While Play is a very good song and deserved a place in the final, the performance was a complete disaster. Jüri at his worst. So fake, so unsympathetic and not even good looking (he is attractive but they did everything they could to hide this here). This cringe performance deserved to be last.

It's because Belgium, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Netherlands were all some of the worst ESC songs ever put to stage, so it was a race to the bottom. Any of them would've been my dead last in any of the last five years.

Complice is my winner of 2008... and the fact that it got 5 points most likely because it's a song in Italian that was fucked over in the running order by performing 5th and was in a semi with countries that barely know Italian, and it being a song from San Marino: a country that has no voting allies nor are the general audience even aware of its existence, and a powerful rock song that takes itself seriously in the joke year 2008 was is infuriating. Thank you Andorra and Greece for giving some of your points to San Marino that year.

I would say that till rehearsal she was singing good, but the day before final in her instagram story when she was talking you could already hear that she had a hoarse voice and for me it wasnt suprise in the finals that she really was singing pretty bad. The biggest problem was, that she didnt save her voice in the last weeks and in the final was the result. The saddest part is the hate what Samanta now receive in Latvia...like really really bad. So sorry for her!

Liking the song and liking the performance are two different things. I find her song amazing and it was on my top 10, but the performance was a disappointment. The performance didn't make sense. Yellow background, green dresses, it's a dance bop and no one is barely moving. It just wasn't that great.

It physically hurts to see Juri Pootsmann and Miodio in this company. Most of the other songs were just okay, badly performed or downright terrible, but these two should have qualified at least, if not go top five. Play is actually still my 2016 winner. :) There are still some good songs here, like Latvia 2017, Czech Republic 2021, Ireland 2021, or even Iceland 2018. (Sure, it wasn't going to qualify in that semi, but it is cute enough. Doesn't deserve the hate it's getting.) Some were really deserving of being NQ. Especially the group from 2009 is painful to sit through.
