I loved driving it so much I just had to include it man! I know you're doing a lightmap and some other things to update but it's just so beautiful and fun I would've felt bad not throwing it in there, much less just not having a Joris track for the year!

Thank you very much! The intros were really fun to do, you can do them in noclip and it's actually quite well designed, but difficult to execute properly! Spent probably 8+ hours on those animations lmao

It’s really just how crazy the track is, with all the crazy ideas Chris has when making tracks you get a lot of really jank sections that are tough but fun to optimize like the cave and the spiral, not to mention cool stuff like the reo

nothing could have prepared me for how good Tranquility Temple and The Great Apple War are. holy shit. Shy Guys Lumberjack I already was familiar with. Three tracks that are absolutely consistent with Nintendo's native tracks for Mario Kart Wii

so happy you made a video like this because its very much appreciated to the ct community many of their tracks get pooed (cant say the naughty word) on and this can lead to them leaving the community. its really good for someone who is rather competitive to look through these tracks and spread joy on them all. great video man hope you keep doing what your doing because it's much appreciated and i really enjoy it. ps do you know why ISC's tracks were pulled from the pack because they were all very good

I'm happy to make videos like this, especially with the amazing feedback! I'm really happy you enjoyed it! ISC had a bunch of disputes with council and without getting too much into it, we asked him to take a break from CTGP for 6 months (server ban for 6 months) and he requested track removal as a result. It's really unfortunate as we loved his tracks, but I think long term it's mutually beneficial to both council and him to be separate at least for a while. Still a real bummer though :(

Strobenz's Chronocup is the best embodiment of a creator in this community's history. You can see how much thought and effort went into writing this love letter to himself and the community more broadly before he even came to terms with the creative aspect of its development. If this does prove to be his last project, I'll be sad to see him go. The depth of his recent creations is immaculate, and I cannot wait for this last track; if there's one thing we can count on, it will be a masterpiece. Unlike many other creators (and players) in this community, he has somehow managed to transcend time (as ironic as it is given Chronocup's theming). There's a reason that a track like Helado has stood the test of time in CTGP, even if it's been changed thematically. There's a reason Strobenz Desert (II) and (Super) Sky Courtyard are so iconic, even if they're no longer in the pack. I don't know (and won't venture to guess) who joins him in the pantheon of MKW (much less it's CT creators), but he's undoubtedly one of the first names on the list.

100% yes, I've been helping with private feedback on his final track for the cup and it's very very cool. To my knowledge, he wont stop track creation at least in the foreseeable future either. GOAT

6 months means if a track has been accepted and no meaningful progress on fixes has been made in 6 months, we rereview it which means it could be rejected

I know, the tracks are incredible! It's not just up to the mod makers for which tracks are in CTGP, a lot of it just comes down to the way Mr. Bean wants to run his pack. He values how much tracks are played when assessing tracks for removal instead of how much people like them in our polls.

great video, definitely had a few disagreements but i really enjoyed it overall. got to see a lot of my favorites in there and a handful of new cts i wasnt familiar with. also im a pretty casual mario kart wii player and viewer so im a bit curious on what some of the terms u used meant. what did you mean by 6 month’d and i think you said DMS a couple times and i wasnt quite sure what that abbreviation meant. could be wrong there but i thought thats what i heard. anyway thanks for making the video, good stuff dude!

6 month'd: track gets accepted to CTGP but progress on necessary improvements isn't made for 6 months, so it needs to be re-evaluated (and potentially rejected) DMS: dark matter shrine
