Fighters that wasnt on the list: Nick Diaz for being a legend paving the way for his brother Nate. Obviously for his long career fighting in all major organisations at that time, UFC Pride and Strikeforce. For his fight against Robbie Lawler when he trash talked and whooped his ass at the same time. Robbie Lawler for being a legend also. His heavy hands, being compared to Mike Tyson even. He had great fights and even tho he didnt win his last fights he still looked good until the end. Dan The Beast Severn, old school savage at the dawn of the the UFC. His MMA record was crazy with 101 wins!! Two time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and UFC champion at the same time while competing in both the UFC and WWF. This guy is not a fighter but a famous ref. Mario "If he dies he dies" Yamasaki. Not the best ref for fighters health but sometimes when i see early stoppages i wish they brought back Yamasaki for big important championship fights. What do yall think? Like if you agree and comment if you like Dragons.

Hey Rampage and Bear! My first main event? It was ufc 52 Couture vs Lidell, i was 12 years old! Chuck became the first real mainstream mma superstar. We as fans were in love with the mohawked maniac, i had the brown affliction shirt with the thick seamed jeans from buckle and everything🤣 man, i wanted to be the iceman at that time. This guy quinten RAMPAGE jackson, somebody my ignorant self never heard of, shows up howling, chained up, pissin my middle aged father off more than anderson silva ever did, and wouldnt ya know it..... he SLEEPS CHUCK!!! I was devastated. We had to see chuck lose again and again after that but man was i a fan of rampage afterwards. That era when the light-heavgyweight title changed hands from chuck to rampage to rashad to machida etc was the real golden era of the sport for me. The ufc unleashed on xbox days😭Those ultimate fighter seasons are seared in my brain, from the door smash, tiddies and kimbo to the actual fighters on the shows. We saw so many legends emerge in such a small time period, the storylines, the characters and styles, it was incredible. You guys created the mma fanbase that exists today with that energy and i will tell my kids about yall just like my parents did magic johnson and kareem. Quentin should be proud of what he has accomplished for the history of mma! Thanks for doing these shows and man if you don’t quit trying to sell me a chain im gonna call your MOTHER!

@@michaellabonte2351 too bad he was likely roided to the gills for that fight too. TJ should get NO LOVE from the community for anything he did in his career. He was being called out for cheating WAY before he got caught..so this argument that "tj never failed a test before" is invalid because clearly he was beating those tests..until he didn't.
@michaellabonte235110 ай бұрын
@@MAkAVeLlIiii I was entertained by the fight. Period. That is their job to entertain fans and he did it at the highest level. Now taking TJ, Anderson, Jones and others off of your all time greats due to PEDs is a fair and logical debate. I understand all that but I was hooked as a fan by his work in the ring is all that I was trying to say. As far as who's dirty and who's clean I don't know all the story on that .
@MAkAVeLlIiii10 ай бұрын
@@michaellabonte2351 Cheater Islam is on that list too..He popped for Meldonium and got a fight scrapped because of it. But of course, like most cheaters, had a story already in place to tell the UFC to get away with it. I don't go as hard on Anderson though because he was never accused of taking steroids or even popped dirty until after he broke his leg. Dude was already a legend before that leg break and after the leg break..he just wasnt the same fighter..not as hard on him as Jones/TJ/Islam. Jones/TJ were being accused of taking steroids for a long time before they got caught and Islam comes from a area on the world where A LOT of Russian Athlete test for Meldondium. But what i'm trying to say, is that you're a fan of TJ's work ONLY because he had to cheat to put on those performances. Its important to highlight the fact he's a cheater..same with jones. Anytime jon jones is talked about...people will associate him with being a PED user..same with TJ. Again..personally i'm not so hard on Anderson...he should have retired after that leg break and if he did..he would have never tested dirty.

Anderson Silva is the greatest martial artist we have ever seen. Nobody has done what he has in the fashion that he did it in. Unfortunately I think he was his own worst enemy many times in his career, especially towards the end and gets disrespected too often because of it. Also a lot of people don't seem to know this but during fight week before the first Weidman fight he did an interview where he was asked what the perfect outcome for the fight would be and he answered "For Chris to win and be the new best" the interviewer was confused and followed up with "...So it would set up a big rematch?" and Anderson replied with "No, i'm tired"...and then proceeded to go in there and essentially beg Chris to knock him out. He basically threw that fight. I think at nearly 40 years old after being the champion for so long he just mentally checked out. Nobody can sustain that level of greatness forever.

I think for Jackson arguing for easy fights he's right that people want to see the fighter fight lower competition. But the lower comp shouldn't be no name fighters, it's old fighters. Like set up Chuck vs Randy, Tito, old legends. Where both dudes have slown down but still have technique. Jackson going on a revenge tour is where the excitement is at, for example.

I really like TJ on these because he demonstrates that the things that make you a great fighter aren't necessarily aligned with making you a virtuous person and a great role model. Too often we conflate courage, drive, and the will to win with morality, that because someone is exceptional they should be a saint. I respect TJ for what he managed to accomplish but that doesn't mean he's a blueprint for how you should live your life or everyone should go down the same path. You can take positive things away from his mindset while recognising he's flawed like the rest of us, and aiming for greatness means having to sacrifice more than your health and social life. You might have to be a less attentive husband or father, you might have to push compassion for others to the back of your mind. Not saying he's not a good guy, but TJ is someone I can respect without putting him on a pedestal.

The first UFC that I’ve bought me and my brother bought was you rampage against Forrest griffin. We all thought you were gonna murder Griffin with a fucking power bomb but thank you for the memories.

TJ should do this more, he's got great insight and at least paired with Rampage he's pretty damn funny! Also, how awesome is Rampage? Gotta be the funniest person in all of mma.

Rampage is right. We could have seen allot more awesome fights with starts like chuck and tony. Seeing their art. They could give us way more fights
