I bought this camera just for videos, I think the S1R has a better quality 4K and 5K image to it, since of the 47 MP Sensor, I also paid only $2,050 for my S1R.

Thats a great price for the S1R, Think the video on the Panasonic cameras is the best of any mirrorless camera...but never been happy with the AF

Thanks for the info... great video. I still prefer articulating screens as the monitor adds even MORE weight... but hey, that's a nice solution you came up with there. As far as flip-out screens go, check out the Fuji X-T100. It has the best of both worlds... tilty for most situations and flips out when that's needed. Ironically the simplest implementation and the best so far.
@DarrylCarey5 жыл бұрын
I saw Scott Grahams video on the X-T100 and the screen has to be the best screen design on the market.

So i want to upgrade from 1dxm2 to a good lighter camera, i care about 4k 60 frame, is the S1 a good choice ?! Great video , thank you !
@DarrylCarey5 жыл бұрын
This would not replace a 1DX MKII, as the focusing is not as good with AF-C

Great work on the various S1 videos, Darryl. But I disagree on the screen argument. The G9 is a "photographers camera" and it has an articulated screen. I love to shoot my cameras with the screen closed most of the time and believe that at least the S1 should have had the articulating LCD. Just imo.
@zaneleitch75725 жыл бұрын
The screen on my G9 broke off due to leverage against the corner of an oversize tripod plate. Well under one pound of pressure. Fully articulating screens aren't as durable.

Is it the lens, or does the GH5 footage look much much sharper?

Strange that you cannot use Panasonic Lumix DMW-XLR1 on Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 ... if that is made mainly for video as you say? I love that they put XQD-card slot in their new camera!!! :) I wish Nikon would have any similar thing like the DMW-XLR1 ... as Sony also does. I hope I one day get the opportunity to test these cameras! :)
@DarrylCarey5 жыл бұрын
The DMW-XLR1 is one of the best parts of the GH5/GH5S system and its nice and light weight. So easy to carry.

@@DarrylCarey I used to have a dream that Nikon would change their hot shoe-connections (or ad a few pins to it) when going mirrorless ... But, then I woke up. But I love the fact that Sony is no longer the only fish in the river (full frame river)! :)
@DarrylCarey5 жыл бұрын
I do not think Nikon will do anything like in the near future. The best part of Panasonic now making a Full frame camera, other manufacturers which be made to rethink their FF mirrorless cameras
