What are the advantages to playing faster? Is it mainly a player comfortability thing? It seems like there are more disadvantages than advantages.
@PureInsanity7 жыл бұрын
Ryan Ford I think you basically get your body used to higher levels. From level 18 to level 19 the speed doubles, so you are basically getting used to it by playing faster on 18

Lower levels are too easy for this level of competition.. And they are not very good either. They call this world championship but i doubt they would stand a chance vs the best japanese players
@bngwwy6 жыл бұрын
irlrp No the stress while playing a competitive match is much more than you think. These guys can easily get to level 29 at home but they mostly couldn't in a match.
@superfly25356 жыл бұрын
Playing faster means you "pull down" on the pieces to put them in place as opposed to letting them fall into place naturally. This gives you slightly more points but most high level players like Jonas don't do it because it's harder to maintain a high ratio of tetrises to lines cleared. That's what makes Harry's style unique.

@@bellaforhills3893 some say it was the ever elusive perfect 'no-burn' game that would haunt his dreams, some say it was simply the troubles of western culture that was not fitting to his philosophical and moralistic needs and that he will never return, some say he owes vast amounts of money to the mafia for losing to Jonas (who is actually Yakuza despite his complexion), however my belief is that every few years he needs to escape to recentre himself to keep up his centre well skills and that he is currently residing with Shaolin monks within the Henan Province, China. Yeah, right? I was also wondering why they couldn't go faster. It looked like it was an okay difficulty, so I tried level 18 out. Never mind getting that plane ticket for the championship. I can do level 15 okay, but 18 is way faster than 15!
@stylis6666 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyDentinger At lvl 29 the pieces move down every frame. Then it's less than half a second before they reach the bottom. There is simply no way to get them to the edge if you have a couple of rows or a piece in the way that's too high. But most of the players you see in the finals can pretty consistently get over 800k points and reach lvl 29. Also, there are tricks to avoid the pause when you hit the D-pad when a piece moves. One of them is not letting go of the pad for more than a fraction of a second at a time and the other is tapping ridiculously fast. To be faster than the first trick you'd have to consistently tap faster than 10 times per second because the first trick let's you move the piece once every 6 frames. Which by the way also means that it takes more than half a second to move it the 6 spots to the left and slightly less to move it 4 spots to the right. Tetris runs at about 60fps.
