2009 - 2014 Ford F150 no start - Has power but no crank

hey guys I know this will be very helpful for a lot of y'all. PCM issue that is very common for this type of ford trucks.
it can be the immobilizer and security system but most of all its that relay related to your PCM.

This worked for my 2011 f250 gas 6 ltr...i took a beer tab, broke it in half molded it with a hammer and wedged it between the gap to get connection. Got me home.

Thank you this just helped me on my 2012 f350 with a 6.2 gas. Had power but no park indicator light and wouldn't crank. Closed the relay and it fired right up. I'm hoping a new relay takes care of my problem.

Mine just did this now in Minnesota you think it has something to do with the weather freezing the relay I never had this problem until we hit -20-30 degree cold weather.Update it was just that damn cold the motor was frozen next day temp went up to 10 degrees started right up.

My ford flex wouldnt start this morning, it will start with the remote but when i put the key in and turn it over it shuts down lights and all. All the lights work inside, air works park lights etc also when i put the key in the alarm system went off. My husband remote started it and got it to rev a few times thats the farthest weve gotten. We bought a new remote battery bc it kept not working sometimes. When trying to start it theres a like clicking like the battery is dead but its not we hooked the cables up multiple times its fully charged.

Pcm is relay 1 per an online under hood Fuze box. The position 10 is for 3.5l v6

According to the fuse/relay listing I found, that relay is for 3.5L engine PCM from 2011-2014. Relay 1 is also marked as PCM and common type as those next to it. In my case, 2014 4x4, 5.0L, no relay as shown here. Other relay for PCM swapped and still same problem. Other issue often noted is bottom harness connection loose at passenger side interior fuse panel.

Hi, my 2013 F150 5.0 same issue for over a week. Trying to do my best troubleshooting before I surrender and have it towed it to a mechanic $. I learned there are several issues that can cause the no crank, no start. Have you found out what it was on yours? If so please share. Thanks.

​@@fishman677 1. The relay he mentioned 2. Iginition immobilizer module that I changed. Two things you can try becuase they are affordable parts. I consider to change a set of ignition switch lock parts since my issue is still happening but it is defefitely less often than before.

The relay is just a simple switch powered by something else you can override it by pushing what you did but if its the thing thats powering the relay that went bad then a new relay wont help. Anyway will be checking mine just in case thank you.

My 2012 stopped while driving and won't start now had power but either the shifter is stuck and the gas, oil H&C and battery needdles don't move

I am on the same boat..Took like 100 tries and eventually starts. To prevent from happening I make sure not to remove my foot of the break until the Parking Brake is all the way on. Also before turning off ignition I make sure the P is on. If not I play whit the shifter 'till P appears.. Silly but that's how I get by. Replacing the solenoid today.

Had the same issue with mine got a replacement relay, but it will not start unless I keep those contacts put together. Could it be a bad “new” relay I got that is just faulty? Is it OK to drive with the contact held together by a toothpick?

If that's your case, usually the ecm need to be checked. You absolutely can drive anywhere if it's you hold it with anything

Open relay 2 and that’s the starter relay and you can do the same To it and start the truck if you don’t have remote start

@@angelperalta7579 in the thumbnail picture you can see that this relay doesn’t have the black cover on it that it’s supposed to have. So the relay box under the hood right on top of the radiator, open it, and the back row, it will be on your left, the second relay. Once you take that over off and place the relay back, you can turn your switch on in the truck, and if it doesn’t crank and the shift indicator light isn’t on, you take a toothpick or something similar, stick in down into the relay on your left of the relay, there’s a small part toward the bottom that lifts up to make contact, so you have to manually lift it up and the truck will start. The problem is the lead frame in the transmission starts wearing out and will cause some of the relays to lose ground. If you don’t see what it describing comment again and I can make a shirt video and post it on tiktok or Yt showing how to do it. It was a life saver for me.

My 2014 F150FX4 w/ 5.0 4x4 has an intermittent lead-frame issue (speed sensor stops working and only full throttle works - either 5 or 2 gear). Shut off or go into neutral and try again. Worse in winter, has only done it twice in the last few months. Now, the no crank with ignition key has been haunting me for months, sometimes trying the second key works; I always get it started eventually. Replaced the switch on the left side of the steering column, no change. Have a new ignition lock cylinder sitting here, but haven't tried that yet. Going to look at the starter relay as suggested and report back. Thank You again.
