I feel like there are some great plugins that haven't made it to the list that could outshine a few of the others. For example, Physical Starlight And Atmosphere can be used to create realistic atmospheric conditions and lighting. Lux Core render engine is great for rendering and can do bi-directional path tracing for caustics. Fluent is great for hard-surface modeling in a non-destructive way True-Terrain also seems like a great tool for creating landscapes quickly

Just LOL at charging ridiculous amounts and even subscriptions for addons for a fucking open source software. You can do everything these addons do in Blender for free, some of it isn't even that hard. Don't give these leeches your money.

Nope, about half of them are paid, but they're all a fraction of the cost of the addons / plugins available for other programs like Max, Maya and C4D. In a sense, add them all up and they're still cheaper than those programs and they'll be yours to keep. Win-win :)

This looked like a mix of both. For example, Rigify comes with Blender, you just have to select it from the Addons menu in preferences. But something like Hard Ops you'd need to buy and download.

select object from you have to copy materials then select the object were you have paste material after selecting those oblects hit ctrl L then choose materials. now it wil assign those materials you want on other object.

@@manarmustafa4235 if you want to apply more materials to a single object that assign basic materia and then go to edit mode select those paticular parts that you want to assign than in material tab click on plus icon it will create new materials under your first basic aterial than clik assign by selecting your new material this process is called as material id

V-ray has poor integration with blender, I will not recommend that solution if somebody want cut off 3D MAX costs and go to blender. Cycles with denoiser is really good solution for architectural visualizations (IMO)

The most recent version of renderman (23+) does NOT work with blender (both 2.79 and 2.8x fail). I believe the only version of renderman that works from my experience is 21.

Anyone mind dropping some Blender knowledge on me and clue me in on how I get the 'shadow' to appear when resizing a brush in sculpt? Every tutorial I've seen, when resizing their brush, has a dark area that expands/contracts but I cannot find the setting to enable it anywhere.
