The size classes could be done if done right. Something like 5’2-5’6, 5’6 1/2- 5’10, 5’10 1/2 - 6’2 and etc. Then weight classes could be 150 and under, 151-180, 181-210 and etc

i don't usually watch your videos & i haven't tuned in to this one just yet but the title peaked my interest and made me want to share an idea i've had for a while pertaining to the online hoop community .. if yall ever really wanna take ones to another level the answer is yes , yall should have height based categories/competition .. not only that but there should be belts / championships of some sort .. somewhat how boxing / wrestling is run but w: all the competition under one roof .. for things to grow you gotta give em structure .. makes it easier for people to keep up w: the scene .. with that structure would come way more forms and avenues of content, create more stories, & weed out all the noise .
@tajmirb.897924 күн бұрын
there should be about 3 types of classes and 3 types of " matches / belts .. each classes having its own belt / champion .. making 6 belts total .. classes: 6'0 & Under, 6'0-6'5, 6'6 & Over .. matches: 3 Dribbles, 5 Dribbles, & Unlimited.

Not even just that Rob played more possessions on defense so he has to deal with more fatigue & the refs didn’t call any fouls on the defenders when he was on offense.

There’s limited dribbles for a reason, I’m ok with no size classes
@lesthegoatttАй бұрын
This is a great point. I think for the TNC format height or weight is less of an issue compared to Junes League or Street Starz for players. The size issue is still prevalent is just increases when more physicality is allowed.
@ItzARASAАй бұрын
@@lesthegoattt But that's the thing, with four dribble you'd think it'd be harder for these bigger guys to get a bucket but it's not though. On offense the smaller guy will be getting hounded a lot if the guy is bigger and plays more physical depending on the environment and on defense the bigger buy IS also going to be more physical and most likely get a lot of foul calls in their favor. Four dribbles is a more of a dis advantage to the smaller guys that the bigger ones. Four dribbles may be more of a disadvantage than advantage for a smaller guy. It's limiting them both, keep in mind this only goes if their TALLER AND BIGGER (Iso A1 vs Iso Tae for example). I could see a match up between guys like BJ and Nes being more fair. Either way A disadvantage is a disadvantage, limited dribbles or not.

Big (6'8 and up), Wing (6'4 - 6'7) and Guard (5'8 - 6'3) height classes. Let the players decide what they are and if they want play in different height classes they can. Seeing a player hold multiple belts will be tough!
@zay5454Ай бұрын
In my opinion there should be some sort of size classing. Most 1v1 sports with physicality have that size classing, so the competitors start off on an even playing field
@lesthegoatttАй бұрын
In yall opinion should the class system be based on height or weight, or both. To me personally height should be within 3 inches, weight causes the bigger issue in my opinion since it's such a physical game. The class cap could get tricky since I don't think it should be like boxing since the advantage is not as great maybe 8-12lbs idk I would have to see it first in a game. But at this point in the space idk if it's enough players to separate it by a class system though, eventually the opponents would get recycled. The YT basketball scene is growing at a rapid pace and this idea definitely should be discussed and explored!
@ItzARASAАй бұрын
I totally agree with this take. But with the space constantly growing I feel like you'll have to implement one sooner or later right? With this investment for John Bellion + the ppv even more guys with start coming into the space. I think it'll need to be put in place within the next 2 to 3 years.
@ItzARASAАй бұрын
In terms of the weight class situation, I completely agree. When/If you guys sit down and talk about this, using a UFC format which is a more prevalent weight class idea, imo.

I think it's a lot of fan favorite bias around Friga cause I don't understand how he's above nesco, Friga wasn't winning consistently pre injury and his record in the past year is like 6-1 compared to nesco's like 15-3 and most of Nes's games are against people IN THE COMMUNITY, the top guys at that and half of Friga games are city stops.
@p0ck3tp3arАй бұрын
Nesco is a hack.
@s_vaporsАй бұрын
Finally someone addressed this. He has a huge fan base and some big losses. Everyone brings up old losses for certain guys, but people try to ignore Frigas losses saying he’s gotten a lot better since then (which is true, but unfair when that standard doesn’t apply to others). Sihimba beat him and this is the first time I’m even hearing his name get brought up in a top 10. Also I agree with you. His wins are very impressive, but the biggest ones were against guys that don’t have a reputation in the community. Friga is really good, but I just don’t think he’s top 5 yet. If he beats Nas in the PPV, then he’s definitely top 5 at that point, but I’d still like to see him play Zae and Rob. Also we need a Rob vs Nas game already

Rob is such a tough one to place because of inactivity but I don't see him losing many games against the other 4 or 5 names in conversation. I go Friga, Nas, Rob, BJ, Zaye. If Zaye can beat any of those names (or Nas) again I'd say he can go up to 1
@dthreezyАй бұрын
Why not do both?? Split it into weight height categories for a certain period of time, once the pecking order is established (based on wins and losses versus each other) have the top players from each weight class face off in a tournament to determine the Overall #1 one on one player …

If uncle Skoob beats rob in 1s, I can’t put him in the top 5 due to losing to Rob in the first game scoreless. Same thing happened when he played Nas. Also, Qel beat him twice. I know Qel has been hurt but he deserves to be in this conversation as well. Also, it’s hard for me to put Rob over Friga for the same reason it’s hard to put Zae over Nas. Friga might have lost more but he has bigger wins and has been doing this for longer time than all of these guys. Rob is great but hasn’t been tested outside of TNC yet when it comes to ones. I just don’t see how you can use that logic for Nas and not for Friga. Friga deserves to be at 2 or 3 as well because he has beat Nas and BJ, who are two people on your top 5. Not coming at your list but giving some food for thought

Weight shouldn’t matter it should be height classes 5’10 and under then 5’10 -6,1 then 6’1-64 then 6’4-6’7 and I say no weight because typically when you get on the court u naturally matchup based on height and with there being a dribble limit….also I think they should only play on nba 3point lines which moves the offensive players back so u can’t just post up when u do got a weight advantage

@@AmillyMediaI totally understand why you think there should be weight/height classes but I think the beauty of the 1v1 space and the reason why people love watching it is because they get to see the best of the best go against each other. The grit these dudes come with it’s a survival of the fittest, they all want to prove why they are the best in the community, and what better way to do that then playing the best. I can understand the “fair shot” thing you mentioned but then again the beauty people love about the 1s space is that the best play the best.
