In this video I'll run through my top 5 abandoned stadiums I've ever visited in Scotland. Scottish football is very old, hence the amount of abandoned stadiums around the country.
From Cathkin Park in Glasgow to St Bernards in Edinburgh, there are abandoned stadiums dotted around all over the country!

Thanks for uploading this video Sam. Interestingly enough, my football team Chelmsford City (in the Conference South), played against Third Lanark in a friendly on April 17th 1961. It was played at the now demolished New Writtle Street Stadium in front of 9,564. Unfortunately for Chelmsford, they lost 3-0, but my dad still talks about the game and the excited in the town at the time. Keep up the great content

East Stirling shared with stenhousemuir when I lived in Falkirk so that must of changed

There was a team called South Liverpool in Garston / Allerton in Liverpool. But its a train station now. Some great players came from there onto Liverpool like John Aldridge and Jimmy Case I believe. The team was quite good at one stage.

You mentioned that East Stirling share with falkirk but did you know before that they shared with stenhousemuir I used to live in falkirk and tge old East Stirling ground was situated in a retail park I also see a game there against local rivals stenhousemuir

You need to go to the old Slough Town ground Wexham Park Stadium. Loads of reasons why it's closed. Loads of ex pros played there. Best, Moore, to name a couple.

East Stirling are sharing with Falkirk now are they? They shared with Stenhousemuir for a good while after abandoning Firs Park. It was actually a decent wee ground with a very distinctive barrel-roofed stand. They just didn't look after it. The club fell into the wrong hands. However, Falkirk simply had too many professional teams. Three for a town that size?

when you go to england do a vid on basingstoke town fc aka the dragons. they were kicked out of their ground [the camrose] after being there for 70 years. they now play at the hampshire fa hq im pretty sure

Rangers played Third Lanark at Cathkin Park on the 2 September 1939 winning 2-1.. The next day Britain declared war on Germany.. bit of useless information .. keep up the great work.

Abandoned stadiums? What about Odsal? It must be the biggest. Officially it had a crowd of 102,569 in 1954, but they simply opened the gates for safety reasons and many more flooded in. The crowd was thought to be more like 140,000. There are hopes of it being un-abandoned, but that remains to be seen. What's for sure is that the longer it's left (18 months now) the more it will deteriorate and the more expensive it's bound to be to reopen. Nene Park In Irthlingborough Northamptonshire Former home Stadium of Irthlingborough Diamonds F.C. 1969-1992 Rushden & Diamonds 1992-2011 & Kettering Town 2011-2012) Myb you can vist this when restrictions are removed more in terms of travel. Also Western Park, former home of Renfrew F.C it's on Inchinnan Road in Renfrew next to The Police Station as far as I remember it's definitely on Inchinnan Road. Renfrew F.C now play at New Western Park at 1 Argyle Avenue Renfrew PA4 9EF. Myb this is helpful myb it is not to you Sam. The last time I was at The Old Western Park was 201/2001 when Johnstone Burgh won the last Central Division Championship there. I remember it being very ramshackled round about that time & that was ment to be the last Renfrew home game there. Keep Safe Sam.

Some of these 'stadiums' are hardly stadiums! I think you need to define the word! It would be difficult to describe some of these current grounds as stadiums. But great content whatever!
