Wh3 mod quality is somehow much better than wh2 where even the best mods use very obvious kitbashing. Imagine the mods by the end of this year?

Feel like I’m gonna sound like a jerk but ya they do have 1/3 more to work with now than wh2 but I totally agree at the same time with you and by the end it’s gonna be crazy. Hopefully every big total war title keeps this up the mod community is amazing.

More like under your Radar though. This mods have tens of thousands of downloads. Currently there is almost 87k subscribers to Mixu legendary lords, and 77k for legendary characters.... There is some anti-mod sentiment in some parts of the community that are absurd, maybe you are being blinded by them, and thinking mods are some minor part of tw, but they have been here probably before your started playing the series.

@@blackknight4152 there is nothing absurd about it. at the end of the day, mods are third-party software. why is that a bad thing? well for starters, for every update you have to make sure that the mods are up to date or not breaking the game. this might take some time, depending on the popularity of the mod. game stability, performance, and even something as trivial as loading an old save is a challenge when you run a considerable amount of mods. all in all, there is nothing absurd about wanting to play the game without relying on a dozen of third-party mods, made by amateurs (and I'm saying this as someone who is using around 15 mods. I don't want a respeck mod, I want CA to implement it into the game )

@@zaizvp90 I can understand the "concern" of compatibility of saved games for a long period of time, if you time to play is very limited you probably cant even look for mods to use, let a lone lurk in youtube comment sections. Running few mods can be done by anyone because you only need to check for dependencies, you know look to the right in the modding page and see if there is any required mods. You would only run into some problems adding a big amoount of mods, and then I would agree it requires some time ( 1-2 hours) but the reward is great, Im currently playing with 315 mods, no crashes. Calling modders amateurs is putting all mods in the same bag, hell even some scripts, skins and db edits are way more complex than what CA has done ( Ca can beat animation and in most cases skeletons, because basically implementing those without direct tools to work on them is absurdly complex, many modders work as profesionals in the same sector ( design,art,animation), they just really lack tools, and yet this mods pale in comparison to fully fledged new faction mods that populate an otherwise lifeless map. that are a combination of skills and usually a collaboration work of many talented and dedicated people. Try for instance Cataphs Southern Realms or OVN Albion and Fimir mods, completely new factions with their own rosters that you can both play as or fight against in the map. There is nothing wrong wanting to play the game without mods, is spreading bs about modding and calling modders as a hole "amateurs" because you saw some low effort cheat in the workshop.

Here, let me help you out: a person who engages in a study, sport, or other activity for pleasure rather than for financial benefit or professional reasons now, as far as I’m aware, except for a few moders in the SFO team, most moders don’t mod WH as a full time profession are they? Which makes them amateurs by definition. So what’s the point you are trying to make? Now, as for your little explanation on how mods work… I have around 5k hours in WH, I have played most of the well know mods, except for SFO (I really don’t like the idea of rebuilding the whole game). I played all the mods you mentioned and many many more. My “concern ” is a real issue, it’s not something I think might happen because I didn’t use mods enough. If you want to load a previous campaign, you have to load the exact same set of mods. Now im nor running 315 mods (lol) but I do have around 15, which I change around from time to time. If I want to load a campaign from 2 months ago, I have to have the exact same mods. It might surprise you, but I don’t keep notes of which mods I used for a specific campaign at the time, which in turn makes loading an old campaign a very complicated task. This is an issue unique to mods, again that was my whole point about using 3rd party software. So again, what is the point you are trying to make? Same goes for mods update after a patch/dlc. Same goes for stability (yeah your 315 mods list meant very little. If you use a separate mod for every model in the game, you will have hundreds of mods you would be able to run together without any issues. that’s not the kind of mods I’m talking about). Want to send a save file to your buddy, too bad if you are using mods. Want to play multi player with a few friends, hope you freed half a day to configure that shit. All in all, people not wanting to use armature third party software is very reasonable. So again, what is the point you are trying to make?
