Great report thank you so much. I always appreciate them. A trick I use for the jerk bait to at least get the fish in as I always upgrade the hooks and use a very soft rod. My success went up after I made those changes I was getting them in. Specially those new hooks and a super soft rod.

No problem. Yep I’ve tried it all. I upgrade everything I have a couple high end jerkbait setups now. I’ve landed fish up 8 pounds on jerkbait a but I know for a fact I’ve lost bigger. Especially on lakes like Berryessa. 😔 it’s a psychological thing for sure. If I see it I start freaking out. 😂 and I don’t practice playing fish very often. 😂

I've never had issues with Megabass jerkbaits stock. I used a 6'10" med Zodias for years with no problems. Finally got an Expride but haven't landed a jerkbait fish on it just blade baits.

Thanks for the Video. What rod and line do you recommend for LV 500
@livefastmovementoutdoors8310 Жыл бұрын
Really depends on what I’m throwing it in. If it’s grass I like a bit stiffer rod that gets to the back bone further up the rod. Because I like to rip my bait free as fast as possible. If it’s just bottom hopping I recommend a softer rod. With a lot more give. My two favorites are Megabass Diablo spec R and a Megabass Flatside special. I use 15-20lb straight fluorocarbon in most instances.

When you throw the a-rig what swimbaits do you use on them ?
@livefastmovementoutdoors8310 Жыл бұрын
Most of the time I use kietechs but it really just depends on the forage and fishing presssure. I Think outside the box and when the bites get pressured different swimbait brands excel. If the forage are big don’t rule out throwing swimbaits on it. Yes it looks ridiculous but it does work In certain situations

Thanks I bought some a-rigs from Andrew Skanderson

lv300 for the slow roll. lake must be filling up by now. your brave to face the cold
@livefastmovementoutdoors8310 Жыл бұрын
Yep plus a few other brands make some sleeper lipless crank baits that get giant bites. The old school cotton Cordell with upgraded hardware slays on the delta but it’s not a hype bait so the rest of KZbin will tell you tHrOw a KLaSh 😂

In your experience what's the best way to rig a Trash Fish for Clear Lake? Exposed hook? Weight?
@livefastmovementoutdoors8310 Жыл бұрын
I rig mine 90% of the time with an owner best hook. 6/0 for the 6inch model and 10/0 for the 8in

Hey bro I live in lake county as well . I have a kayak that I use not yet able to fund a boat . I have a quick question when your fishing are you using live scope or live target ect you get what I'm saying right . I've been having a hard time locating these schools everyone been on lately . I'm just wondering is it that they are all using that live scope ect and it's not just me and what I'm doing ... I mean I'm still catching fish but it's been a grind.. I'm watching your videos and wondering if the reason your able to get on so many fish like you do is help with that live scope

You definitely don’t need a boat to catch the big ones on clear lake. 🤘 most of us now a days run forward facing sonar. But with that being said understand it’s a tool and not to become reliant upon it. Your fishing will actually suffer in most cases if you rely to heavily upon. I love to teach the old school methods of finding fish on my trips and use the new technology to solidify things for me. Listen to to what the lake is telling you out there. Pay attention to factors like wind direction, subtle secondary points, birds. They will all tell you where the fish are
