My baby has had trouble latching. He is 10 days old so I’m pumping in the mean time. Looking to buy a different pump as the one I purchased isn’t working so well. My son did start to latch for a minute or two at a time in the last 24 hrs. I’m thankful to be able to see him starting to improve on his latching suckling skills but pumping is saving me whilst he gets his latch better. 😊

15 months exclusively pumping?! you’re a strong woman 😭 I’m 6 weeks postpartum, was ebf but started combo feeding 2 weeks ago and already ready to give up! pumping hurts and breastfeeding hurts even after countless visits with different lactation consultants 🥺 I first used the medela manual pump but for some reason that started hurting real bad recently then tried the momcozy s9 pro and that starts hurting after 10 mins too :( . I used a 21mm flange at the hospital with no problem but I’m thinking I may need a different size now

Haha yes it was a very LONG road but we made it through! I had plenty of days and nights crying because I was just making enough for my daughter for each meal lol. But yes I was just about to suggest changing your flange. And that should do the trick! And lower the suction strength

Loved this video! I had the spectra and loved it! Even though I had the Willow I always preferred my Spectra. I didn’t produce as much with the willow. I bought it so I could pump easier at work but I was uncomfortable wearing it because it made my chest look humongous and it was a little loud. My favorite manual breast pump was the Haakaa! I would do this right after pumping from the spectra and would get like an extra 3-4oz of milk.
@mothersteach
@mothersteach 2 жыл бұрын
What??!! Wow!! When I did my research about the hakaa I didn’t think it was as effective, but that is amazing! I’m so glad you shared with us!! Great video! You are right tje Symphony is AMAZING. I used one in the hospital with my daughter as she was in the NICU for the first day. Since my supply wasn't in I didn't get the full experience. My daughter is in the hospital now with RSV and there is a Symphony in her room and WOW that pump emptied me with a quickness. I was given the Medela Pump In Style as the one my insurance would cover. It was ok for a little but I ended up seriously disliking it and my IBCLC doesn't like it to support a full supply either. It's actually rated to last one year at 3 pump sessions per day. I ended up wearing it out at about 11 weeks PP because of that. It didn't empty well and I had a lot of clogged ducts from it. And re: the Willow. It is great and totally leak proof with tje bags but it has a steep learning curve. It is a constant suction with the pulling a traditional pump does as well. So the Willow latches on with suction and then it cycles with suction on top of that. You also have to use your exact flange size or your nipples will get torn up. Still really like my Willow. After I stopped the Pump in Style I bought the Motif Luna and I lover it. Very comparable to the Spectra and has a high max suction m

This time I'm thinking about trying the spectra 1.I have always had to use the largest flanges 30mm. My question is it it true the medla parts will fit the spectra and are they easy to get when I need to replace after a few months use ? Many thanks I have always had to use the largest flanges at 30mm..

@@ntmn8444 it’s a hit or miss, sometimes I get 1-2oz from both breast then others I get 3-4oz each. I’m going to give the baby Buddha a try. I like how portable and convenient they are. Working in a hospital and doctors office I can easily pump around! And it’s pretty quiet. I like the amount of stuff it comes with as well Cons: I have to pump FOREVER with them, and sometimes it’s near empty, I usually have to charge them after 2 pump sessions. The button placement looks like a hard nip lol and it’s micro sd to charge, which isn’t terrible but I would have liked to see usb c for the price. Sorry for the long message

@@SetaviaLambert your so welcome! Lol. So to answer your question, I havnt personally ally tried the Medela Swing Maxi, but by the looks of it if your okay with the lanyard around your neck and the control panel being on your hip with extra tubing then either one would be fine. When it comes to price I would definitely choose the Lansinoh Discreet and suction strength I’m not too sure about as far as the Medela Swing Maxi but I can definitely say the Lansinoh will be great! I would pick the Lansinoh due to price and less maintenance.

Heyy!!! Welcome to the KZbin family! lol! So I think maybe your aunt may have been using the wrong size flange on her breast, it can be very uncomfortable and or doesn’t cuff the breast the way it should. Spectra seems to be the best of the best! I personally am going to try that one once I have another baby. But I would contact the lactation consultant’s at your nearby hospital, (and not just any lactation consultant) you want one that you feel most comfortable with, and that you can connect with. I’ve had some bad experiences lol…I hope this helped a little
