You randomly came up in my algorithm. Im gonna comment here and come back to update. Im going to see my stylist this weekend to get crochet box braids done for the first time ever!! Ive done corn rows a couple of times before (before cutting my hair short) when i was younger but other than that ive never had any other protective styles. Ive gone through relaxers color. But i wanted to try something different this time. Ive always been super nervous about doing it because i always thought that i didnt have the facial structure for them. I tried the Amazon box braid and had an allergic reaction to it. Had it installed on a Sunday and had to remove it on Wednesday morning. I'm going to try the Freeress Beach Curl but I'm going to rinse it before the install just to be on the safe side.

Next time separate it. One of the tricks with most crotchet hair is to use a leave in conditioner and separate it into two, three, or even four pieces.
