I think you forgot a great value keyboard by Gigabyte, the Force K83. Its 40 dollars by a big name company, and sure you don't have any lighting effects but it comes with real Cherry MX Red or Blue switches. That is crazy cheap for the the quality you get. I wish they had it in MX Brown because I would like a second keyboard for typing and work since the tactile would definitely help with some typos but other than that the keyboard is great. I mean you can buy this and do custom keycaps if you wanted to add some flare to it.
@ScatterVolt6 жыл бұрын
I believe I have seen that keyboard before. It looks plain but does offer Cherry MX switches.

What do you do with the keyboards after you are finished with them? Do you have a collection, or do you just stuff them away in a storage room or something?
@RealShareef6 жыл бұрын
The Gigabyte Force GK-Force K83 is a $40 keyboard with Cherry MX switches. That's the cheapest I've seen Cherry MX Switches go for, and I love my K83 with red switches. The Anne Pro is another keyboard with CRAZY good value, with great RGB, Gateron mech switches, a small form factor, Bluetooth, PBT keycaps, and more. The Drevo Tyrfing V2 is a keyboard I haven't used but it also seems like a greay value, with good RGB and metal construction.

I'd like to see a video like this one but comparing the various budget headsets from Windows Mixed Reality (They have support for Steam VR these days making it a slightly more economic way to get full VR experience) I'm using one from Acer and so far its pretty good with excellent tracking and decent motion controls (Under $250 USD). Also while the requirements for running VR on your PC are kinda steep, some cards that are not listed as VR ready actually do a surprisingly good job with some minor graphics concessions in order to keep performance up. I think that is worth exploring for budget gaming builds. (Example: I am using an AMD R9 380x and its has worked perfectly for playing Elite: Dangerous, The Lab and more.)

Hmm, is Windows Mixed Reality it's own program that works with VR? What exactly is it?

as a wrist rest user, I hope manufacturers will produce every keyboards with detachable wrist rest , i don't care about the material, even if just cheap plastic or faux leather.. just as long it's there.. I mean what is the cost? even the cheap lame keyboard does have it. Because of wrist rest and TKL size, I have limitation of choosing keyboard to just corsair K65. I know there is plenty of wrist rest sold separately, but i want one that attached to the keyboard, specially when you paid premium price.

Hi, I'm just wondering about why I can't find the k-board of my dreams. The only reason I buy gamer KBs is to have backlighting, which I really need. Believe it or not, I actually type. (Likewise, I also actually make calls on my cellphone !!!) Why on Earth can't we have backlit keys AND bluetooth !?. I've noticed all 5 KBs you've reviewed (very comprehensively and professionally, I hasten to add) are wired/USB. I suppose, with both features, the battery charge would be depleted relatively quickly, although an electric car these days has a very good range. I'd also like the option of not having a number pad, as I've never used one.
@CosmoProductions6666 жыл бұрын
Really like the look of the Cougar one, but I would rather have a number-pad and sacrifice portability. For the last 10 years I've been using some beige 90s membrane keyboard, and have never found one I like more, but unfortunately I snapped it last week (totally my fault). I've always thought I'd eventually go for a Razor keyboard as I love my Razor mouse, but after looking at a number of reviews they are not being recommended as much as I thought. I just want something good quality with real chunky keys tbh, the gaming ones I have looked at in the store have kinda small keys

I also want the keyboard to have a few dedicated macro keys. I don't care if it has RGB. My top price to pay is about $120. Any suggestions. Im currently using a steel series keyboard with like 22 macro keys but sadly the keyboard is a membrane switch. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

There is nothing actually bad about "chinese knockoff" switches with the only reason why it feels "cheap" is because of our perception that chinese knockoffs are bad. But cherry has been lagging behind and all these knockoff companies actually sometimes make superior switches compared to cherry. Razer's fault is mostly at the poor reliablility of the case, pcb, etc. And believe it or not, corsair build quality is actually subpar bloody. Just because you see aluminum doesn't mean its sturdy. It may look sturdy but 99% of mks have switches mounted on some kind of metal.
