Medical and first aid book and a foraging book. My husband is a hunter and this past summer a cow was fine and next minute was upside down. He was able to gut right in field quarter and ice it so next day we processed and put in freezer. So I'm getting the butchering book. ❤from eastern Colorado

I’ve watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them but this is the one that made me hit subscribe! I agree completely that it’s important to have printed as opposed to online or digital sources including maps. Thank you for stressing this!

Building a library, books for research/informational and books for dreaming and carrying you away. I love to hear about other homesteaders books.

Having books now is more important than ever. For the last few years I’ve been collecting books on gardening and homesteading. This year the go as has been more on getting books that focus on having a home apothecary. Even if I never get it set up, I’ll have the info to aid in figuring out options for dealing with simple illness. I have never been one to enjoy reading on a kindle etc. I love having a book in my hands where I can possibly write notes etc. Your video is a good reminder for me to keep tackling all those “winter” projects! Thanks for sharing.

I can't believe I don't have Nourishing Traditions yet! It seems like a staple in many homes. I'm just starting out preserving, Crystal Schmidt's book Freeze Fresh has helped me get my ball rolling. I also enjoy the recipes she has included in the book.

Thank you for the book recommendations!! Always looking to add good resources. The Family Garden Plan by Melissa K Norris is excellent, as well. Covers everything from planning the garden space to organic pest control, crop rotation in the garden to berries and tree care and all the in between! Highly recommend!
