I used a Toyota sparky/ daihatsu atrai 7 as daily and it's perfect. Length less than 4 meters and wide 1.55 makes it best for small towns. From japan it can cost 3k (delivery not included),has a variant with 4wd.

Hi, yes I have sold a few higher mileage Toyota verso for under the £6k mark. So you should be able to find the models listed albeit they'll likely be over 10 yrs old.

Yes it's still helpful. And also the Skoda Kodiak. Search for it. My preferred 7 seater car is the Toyota Verso and SUV 7seater is the Kodiaq

The diesel is a good engine only reason I said petrol is because of the ULEZ and clean air zone compliance.

Hi, does the Toyota have a timing chain or belt? I used to have a 2005 2.2 d, was economical but the egr let me down once and also had an oil leak 🤦🏽‍♂️

I've seen loads of imported tourens. What's the downsides of an imported car? Higher insurance?

Some have higher road tax. Speedo is in km and the under body needs sealing. I just prefer UK registered cars. It's cheaper to get import, but at the same time they dont hold their residuals as well as UK registered ones

The tdci with manual gearbox and Zetec spec sufficient but spec personal preference..I would go for Zetec as it has basics as the more electrics you have more to go wrong. The diesel engine pretty robust if serviced but remember in this budget most won't be ulez compliant, a 2.0 petrol is realistic alternative, just make sure has full service history in all regards. Plenty around so make sure to get one with maintenance history even if it means paying a few hundred more

Do the Japanese imports like the petrol Estima have good MPG for long journeys? Just worry that theyre better for small town commutes and can be thirsty on longer runs as the electric motor not in use

The hybrids work best in town. But still relative to their size and weight not that bad on fuel...just don't compare to what you get on motorway if you have a diesel. I personally just prefer UK registered cars that way no issues with parts etc

Regarding the Zafira we’re you referring to the petrol 1.8 manual?

The 1.8 manual is good. The 1.6 is too underpowered. Again up to date service history is very important.
