If you start with live rock, transported in water, and get some sand from an established tank you can just add fish day 1... no cycle as the tank is precycled.

Quick question. I wanna get into this hobby and I want to do as much right as possible. But if I set up a quarantine tank while my main tank cycles. Doesn't that quarantine tank have to be cycled as well? Like how do I manage to get there.

20 gal petco tank is more than enough. I’d use prazi pro and coper power. Be sure to bring coper levels up slowly over 4-5 days

Either get a very large group of chromis or stay away. They will pick on the weaker till death. Bigger groups will disperse the agression. That is my experience. Got 5 at first. 1 is left.

Only problem is that the order of fish that gets added is very important. Clownfish and damsels added at beginning will limit fish you can add next.
