Where Are You- the songs are wonderful. Lonely Town, The Night We Called It a Day… The arrangements by Gordon Jenkins have so many counter melodies especially at the end of the songs. Sounds like Mahler symphonies.

I love the passion you put in this review. I have always considered Sinatra to be the best, and an American treasure. Although Watertown has never been one of my favorites, I confess, I didn't really know the background as I have only heard sections of it. Now I want to sit down and listen to the full album. I agree with your other choices for being spot-on. Thanks so much for your great work and keep it coming!

@@top5records796 Thanks again. It was much fun to watch and listen to a couple of your great rankings. The song from Cycles what touches me so extremley is Gentle on My Mind. I dont know why maybe it is also the songform and the many modulations. I just start crying when someone puts it on. It sometimes happens when listening to Long and Winding Road or many other Beatles songs. But this is so emotional to me. I even didn't really listen to the lyrics. It's funny, actually you can call it a pop album. It has a photo with George Harrison and Frank in the booklet which is interesting.

Did you know that in the wee small hours is perfect for sleeping because it has nothing but very slow ballads? I've heard songs for swinging lovers, and in the wee small hours,in the wee small hours is perfect for sleeping because all the songs are all slow ballads,I didn't think It was gonna be an upbeat album, but its all slow, and i really like it,and i was crying the last time i heard it,it was a masterpiece, very deep and hits different in the early hours. And it is also the best sounding monophonic album in the world and it makes you cry every time!
