4 pockets plug-ins are amazing. I'd love to see some of their features built-in to some of these iOS DAWs.

Really enjoy your videos. Not only are they informative but you have found the perfect balance of humour, information, stimulating visuals, and of course sound and music. It is a treat to watch on all those levels. Even while I was in the kitchen cooking, I propped up my iPad and listened to this video and it occurred to me how even your voice alone is relaxing and calming, while delivering great information. I look forward to each new video you upload.

Great vid as always, Jakob! D4 is nice! Can't wait to get started in Cubasis to great a bunch of these AUv3 plug-ins...too many to choose and GADGET is played out (at least regarding its arrangement and mixing aspects... they have no interest in taking the app seriously)... i digress.. regarding Spectral Analyzer... FabFIlter would be the way to go... surprised they haven't offered one for the AUv3 crowd? I love PRO-R, but assume it also doesn't work in Cubasis... wish all their stuff did. I'm excited about getting the waves stuff though. BTW, i loved when you said "my English"... dude... you speak better English than half the people in America! lol

Hey man, I’ve been meaning to ask for ages but what is that light box at the back of your room in the wide shot. The foot square thing with blue and red LEDS? Is it simply a light for ambience or does it have any music production features? Theres not many KZbinrs I follow regularly but you sir, are most definitely one of them. If I’m honest, I’ve spent quite a tidy sum after watching your reviews and information. Apps I never even thought I needed, I now can’t live without them. I would become a patreon supporter but was in a bad motorbike accident last year and will never walk again - so am stuck on disability benefits which really are a pittance of the salary I was making as a Flight Attendant with Virgin Atlantic but hey, I’m still here - had to stop my part time DJ gigs - you just cant mix to any decent standard unless you’re standing up !! Unfortunately every penny counts nowadays 🙁 Now, I’m setting up, slowly, a bedroom studio - I’m getting right into Ableton Live and have messed around with it for years but the past year after getting an iPad Pro 12’9 and finding the quality of professional grade audio production apps available on iOS, well let’s say, ?I’m learning Ableton steadily but much slower than before. Even though it cost, along with a heap of racks and instruments, well over a grand UK money... I’m now much more invested into learning in-depth iOS synths, AU’s and drum machines... and the prices. Jesus Christ, to get companies like Moog, Korg, Sugar Bytes etc. release EXTREMELY high quality apps - none costing more than 30 quid, most under 20 quid !! Cheers buddy, again love your videos - proper information, no promotion BS. “A diamond in the rough” fits your channel perfectly mate

Thank you! Unfortunately I’m probably the wrong guy to ask about that. So far I’ve only used sample packs whenever I need something orchestral like (including percussions). I haven’t been looking to much into what apps do this the best. 😅

Are you going to make the video on using the Anker charger after 6 months? just wondering keep up the great work.
@JakobHaq5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Regarding Anker cable. I’ve got a little problem with the planned video about the Anker cable. . It still connects and charges without a hitch. However the gold plating has been damaged on the lightning connector and it seems that this is a problem that stems from a dirty or broken Lightning port on one of my iPads or my iPhone. I haven’t been able to confirm it yet though. . However one of my other lighting cables (not) Anker has its gold playing damaged on the same pin as the Anker one. So there’s a connection there. I have also been testing plugging and unplugging other Lightning cables in the port that I suspect is damaging the connectors, just to see if it happens again. . I can not set a date for the release of this video since I’m uncertain when I’ll have it ready. I’d rather make sure that my info is correct instead of being quick about this.

I ask this because I recently watched your review of the Behringer UCA202. You were very positive about that audio interface. Do you still use it for routing your iPad audio?
@JakobHaq5 жыл бұрын
Ah, yeah I’m really satisfied with it and it goes with me whenever I travel. However in the “studio” I mostly use the Novation AudioHUB when working with the iPad Pro. Whenever I’m working with two iPads I break out the UCA202 also and I’ll use both interfaces. Right now I am hitting a “limit” with this setup and I need a bigger sound interface with more I/O’s. It looks like I’ll be getting the Behringer UMC1820.

I am still struggling with my audio routing in my studio. A Behringer USB1832 mixer is where I route all my audio to, coming from a MPC Live, a Waldorf Blofeld, Pulse 2, Digitakt and a Digitone. Midi-controlled by a Keystep and a Korg Nanokey Studio, connected to a iConnectivity midi4. The MPC live is where I do all the audio recordings, sampling and mix down. But now I want to add my iPad Pro in my rig, that's why I asked about your iPad audio routing. I think it is the best way to connect the headphone of the iPad to a Behringer mixer input. But sometimes the headphone output doesn't work when using a CCK connector. Can you give me some advice to arrange my audio struggle?

@JakobHaq5 жыл бұрын
Um, I just want to make sure I understand what you’re asking about exactly. I route my output differently depending on what I’m doing. Sometimes with soundinterfaces, sometimes through the headphone port. Is there a specific user case you’re wondering about?

Question: How is Discord 4 a "plugin," exactly? iOS doesn't support plugins. A plugin is installed within another program, so what is Discord 4 a "plugin" for? ADDENDUM: Aha! Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party on the subject of AU3! I have only heard/seen this term very recently, but didn't know anything about it until just now. Sooooo.......never mind...... :)
