Nice vid matey. I live down here in Jersey & the Bovington Tank Museum Char B is from here. It belonged to Panzer Abteilung 213 & I also have that Tamiya kit ! One day (hell knows when) i'll make that flippin kit after rescueing it from my attic stash. If you need any wartime Channel Island pics let me know as I have access to a few 😊

Other than raised panel lines, I think the 1:48 Revell Do 335A-1s still a viable option to the Tamiya kit. It even comes with the extended flaps option.

When I saw the video, my first thought was “will there be the Char I bis?”. Easily the best armour kit out there!

I loved making that Chari 1 Bis. I got later Tamiya's R35 Light Tank and its every level quality of Chari 1 Bis. Then I got S35 Somua from Tamiya. I love myself French Tanks. I hope they will produce Renault FT some times...

Can you tell me what makes this kit so great. I would love to hear your opinion. I will shortly be travelling to Japan and will be model shopping so will be considering adding this to my list. Thanks

@@thejamppa I have a Meng models version of the FT-17 in 1/35 and a Flyhawk version in 1/72 ( super tiny ) and both are unbuilt but look great. About to go Tamiya shopping in Japan but with limited budget. Which one of the Tamiya French tanks would you recommend if I can only buy one. Thanks

Nice to see that I’m not the only one buying gobs of aftermarket stuff before I’ve even determined if it’s needed! 😂 Really enjoyed that video, I hope you post lengthy build videos of all of them.

I've got that Tamiya Do335 heavily armed version you mentioned. Been in my stash for 20+ years. Bought it when it first came out, I guess. Every time I think about doing it, I realize that's it. Probably won't be any more. I saw one on Amazon for $200 used (whatever that means) about this time last year. I like the looks of that French/German Char Bis.

Sometimes it’s a good idea to sell a kit like that: You’re not going to build it so it’s just taking up space It’s probably at peak value - this could completely diminish if they decide to do a reissue It could also drop in value if someone comes out with a new tool - Zoukei Mura already do one in 1:32, so they could put out a 1:48 any time really

I was dead on the money - Tamiya just announced a reissue of the Do-335!

Tamiya's Dornier do335 Pfeil is another extremely nice kit from the best model manufacturer. Never built 1/32 scale Spitfire from Tamiya but I'm sure it's very nice kit...I just trust Tamiya kits.

Thanks for the peak into your stash. Those appear to be excellent kits with some good add-ons. Looking forward to seeing the builds. 👍🏻👍🏻

Very interesting, since I've built 3 out of your top 5 and can confirm their excellence! I've still got the Destroyer version of the Do 335 to do (but I also have the epic HKM 1/32 version too) and another Spit Mk VIII to convert into a Mk XII one day. The Char B1 I built in less than six hours IIRC - a fantastic kit! Thanks for the video Jason, great to watch, I might do something similar (again) for my stash, had lots of folks ask me about what I've got left in my stash after a recent culling and why I kept them...cheers Chris

Good video and great selection of kits!! I have built Tamiya's 1/48 scale Dornier DO-335, the version with the cannons in the wings. Built that model roughly 12 years or so ago and it was a fun build - everything just plopped into place and had NO problems. Can remember building Revell's version of this aircraft while growing up in the 1970s, Also, have built the French version of the Char B-1 Bis and actually still have to finish putting together the tracks. Liked how the tracks just "clicked" together and once I got over my hesitation of putting that style of tracks together (have 1 side complete and still have to complete the other side). Think the French version has some great camo & decal options. Look forward to your videos of - eventually - building any of your kits!!

Your correct I picked up the the Tamiya Spitfire mark IX.Beautiful kit but I also find the Mosquito kit equally beautiful kit in 1/32.

Great list - have all your aircraft - building the mk8 with Assie (masks and using the kit 'teeth') now engine panels are wonderful (magnets) and works well - in the final painting right now (the wheels need replacing, and I got a quanto-studio upgrade and rocker covers - the engine is wonderful), and built the ta152 1/48 (and 32) a few years ago... Just got myself the 2 do335 48's too (like you after some waiting on the secondary market) - I've the gaspatch me163 - and it's amazing... Just a note on the spitfiremk8 - the underside light is tough (cutting out) and you need to remove the centre wing light (from the mk9 tooling) - which is annoying...

Regarding the Ta 152, Japanese decals aren't nearly as bad as people think - they just need Japanese decal softeners (ie Gunze) to make them behave properly

The very first biplane in review really looks interesting. The rest are... well... meh. Especially tamiyas. Take a look at Border Bf109 G6 (Border Model | No. BF-001 | 1:35). Anyways, everyone has own opinions. Thank you for the review and pretty rare kits.
