Today I learned that Japan associates the summer with depressing stuff lmao. One Piece is a great summer recommendation! I would recommend something that falls into the foodie genre, like Cooking with Wild Game or Campfire Cooking with my Absurd Skill since I associate grilling and barbecuing with the summer!

@@HobbiesofaMan LOL!! Right?? Everything with the word “Summer” has some sort of dark theme. I thought of another one after I filmed. Tunnel of Summer the Exit of Goodbyes. Oh yeah!! Foodie manga always makes me think of Autumn and winter but, summer barbecues are a real vibe!

I’ve always wanted to check out One Piece but I also tend to get intimidated by longer anime/manga. I might just commit to the first story arc and take it little by little.

I'm triggered by Maeve's tattoos switching arms depending on posts here and Insta. The Day Hiraku Died: Sam (Superblomper) raves about this so I'll look for it. Utsubora: The Story of a Novelist (Asumiko Nakamura). I can't find this book in the wild ( ...no idea if it's a summer read but screw it) so I'll order it online.
