I think you mean underwater combat. Cause we already can go underwater in wilds. I dont really care for underwater combat as it worked but i wouldnt mind if we get underwater weapons that way they can make a special moveset for underwater rather than 14 weapons itd fit with carrying two weapons too i prefer the idea of going underwater to bait the monster out rather than fighting i. Youd be helpless underwater and a little claustrophobic till you both out and now you make him mince meat

They're literally adding underwater exploration to possibly test underwater movement... we should temper expectations but still, we've seen Capcom do precursor's of big mechanics that they add next game

A agree a 100% on your Lagiacrus take, it just doesn’t feel right to bring him back without underwater combat, Lagi was build with that mechanic in mind, and the best version of him is definitely 3rd gen lagi overall Because of it

I too loved MH 3U, it was my second MH game… it had my favorite monster of all time, Lucent Nargacuga. It’s armor was SO good

They gave so many returning monsters a fight upgeade. They could easily give Gammoth a major upgrade. There are so many cool things they could do with her fight.

Agnaktor is def the best "lava swimmer" type monster, also his heating up mechanic was done way better than World Lavasioth/Rise basarios. My heart broke a lil when we got magmadron AKA "we have Agnaktor at home" lol

Honestly just bring every monster that didn’t get a chance to shine in the fifth gen into wilds. Only exceptions being bringing back a classic group of monsters like the monkey trio

I’m so glad to find someone with the same opinion for Lagi. I love him so much. Tri was my first game and he was so cool and scary to young me. But if there’s no water combat (and capcom have pretty much said they’re not gonna bring it back) then I don’t want him back because he’s not nearly as cool being land locked. I commented somethin similar on another creator’s “monsters I want to see in wilds” list when they had lagi on it.

That's quite based that you don't want Lagiacrus to return just yet. You *are* right about one thing tho. The underwater combat has been his peak experience as he is the strongest there. His updated Generations moveset had me worried for Ivory of ever returning cuz I loved Ivory's weapon designs so goddamn much! I go back to play 3U occasionally just so I can visually feel what it's like to play with those weapons once again. If you think he's not ready, I totally understand. But when I saw Uth Duna's gameplay where it was fighting in the shallows, I was thinking that Lagi can make that work too. Which kinda messes with Ivory's chance of being spectacular but still... 😅 If Lagi *and* Ivory does return, Ivory needs to up his game to 11 to make him an absolute menace on land. Especially when Lagiacrus was last seen carrying all of his known moves in some fashion.

I would love to see nergigante back, but i think it would be hard to have a game with hin that doesnt fully revolve around it, because of the sheer enviromental impact it has, especially for wilds, which will probably mostly focus around its ecosystem

My personnal top 5/6 would be: -Agnaktor -Seltas Queen -Gammoth -Akantor/Ukanlos -Dalamadur Akantor/Ukanlos and Dalamadur would make some dope title update

Thing that really bothers me about land only base Lagi is that while they did give it some Ivory moves, they didn't give it all of them, some of which being quick repositioning moves that are kinda required for a heavy monster like it on land to be a proper threat. I assume they didn't give those to regular because Ivory is still the land bases Lagi and normal Lagi will just always be a fish out of water, even if they're making it more fight able. Capcom wants to stay true to the monsters and that's what's in the way of Lagi here. Them staying true to the monster.

Definitely agree with this list, personally I don't want to see underwater combat return just as a personal preference but it would be beyond cruelty to bring Lagi back without it so if the option were to wind up being landed Lagi or underwater combat I'd accept the misery. agnaktor and gammoth were 100% robbed, rise got the baby version of aggy even so why did they just give us a lava version of almudron (hell why did they give us almudron in the first place, hate that thing). I would add Ahtal-Ka personally just because I really want a 6th gen revamp of her, though I'd take Nerscylla if they would rather not add another boss back

monster I def don’t want to see return is Tigrex. Yea ik it’s a classic but I have never really enjoyed fighting him, and he’s been in just too many games for my taste. He needs a break

Very few hunters liked fighting lavasioth in world and I suspect it would be the same for Agnaktor.

Gammoth males might be smaller than their female counterparts. They like their women big and dominating. Edit: Yup, that's how I feel about Lagi. I know he's going to be in Wilds, and I know I'm going to probably like his fight but not love it.
